Torque settings

Post by wingnut »

Hi

I am doing a light overhaul of my engine (1981, 350 K1) before slotting it back in my frame, does anyone know the correct torque settings for the Front sprocket, generator/flywheel and the cylinder head nuts. any advice gratefully recieved.

Thanks

Heads: 2 mkg (2,7 for a half our then going back to 2,0 if you fit new gaskets)
flywheel: 6,5 mkg
rocker arm brackets: 1,3 mkg

Don't know about the sprocket, I use a power wrench.

I have found the front sprocket can get loose on the shaft, which cannot be a good thing. I think it should have a spring washer under the nut, perhaps someone will confirm.

When I took my old sprocket off it was held on by a spring washer and a nylok nut, judging by the state of the bike I think that these are probably original.

Does anyone know the torque settings for the engine mounting bolts and the swingarm pivot nuts? I've searched the forum and the blue book to no avail.
