Folks,
Just returned from a wonderful week in the West Highlands at a Mac Giro meeting, highly recommended. Anyway, servicing the bike when I got back to find the crank pulley which drives the cam belt was rotating on the crank, further inspection revealed a woodruff key almost sheared and a pulley with a badly worn key slot. Thankfully the guys at NLM have saved the day with the parts, including a new cam belt of course!. The slot in the crank for the woodruff key is slightly worn mostly at one end, maximum 3.24mm as opposed to 2.96mm for the bottom of the slot. My question is which loctite would be best for the woodruff key and the cam belt pulley on assembly?. I have 222E , the pink/purple one but not sure if this will do?. I also have 641 retaining compound, I suspect this may be the one to use?.
Thanks,
Alan.
Which Loctite?
