That test I would think was in a rather more obscure place, so many of you might not have seen this. Published by Link House (they also had bike mags) so I'm assuming one of their sister publications would test a bike and pass their 'copy' over. I read teh test bike came from Devimead and I think "Motor Cycle Mechanics' (a sister title) did a test at the time. Assume it's the exact same test bike.

It'd be nice to have a section for magazine road tests. I recall a MV 350 vs Morini 31/2 test by one of the mags. Superbike I think. Anyone got it?

The Morini Performance Portfolio by RM Clarke (Brooklands Books) is a very good compilation of contemporary road tests of the 3 1/2s and 500s. It includes the MV comparison test (the MV just won, but the price was outrageous, even compared to a Morini).

The price, I'd forgotten about that element, I remember being ragged-rotten by my mates, one in particular had bought a K.. Kawa.. K... K.. Kawasa.. a Kaw.. , no I give in, I have my self-respect. I can't bring myself to say the 'K' word. It was a Jap 650 for about the same price. They just didn't get it. I know him now...

And he still doesn't.

Here's a link - maybe we should ask the Club Librarian to bring his along, plus the said articles from back then, although I suspect that a more structured display could be put on for the Club's 40th Anniversary AGM, next year?

By the by, I notice that the Club Products man has the Mick Walker book at a much better price - in fact it's even cheaper than the Amazon price. Doubtless he'll be bringing a few of those to the AGM as well?
