My ignition coil was below par so I sent the stator off for a rewind, but what came back to me might well be someone elses. When it left me the cables varied in length and now they're all the same length & they look older and tattier than mine were. Of course if the bike started I wouldn't be worried - but it doesn't even though the coil's value is now up to spec & I had the rotor remagnetized at the same time. Is there a difference in the stators between the various models and would this make a difference to starting ? (Leaving aside the Kokusan jobs).
Thanks
Richard

Re: 350k Stator query.
There is a size and shape difference between the earlier bikes and the K models (as I found out the black and crispy way*).
When mine was rewound by NLM, I got my original unit back with new coils but the same connecting leads.
