Well an oil filter & change is pretty simple, but to do the job properly to check & clean the oil strainer, the bash plate has to come off, which can't be removed without removing the side stand and then the side stand switch has to come off to reveal the hidden bolt that is still holding the bash plate on. Whilst I'm at it thought I might as well check the magnetic drain plug - oh that means the exhaust has to come off as well. FFS talk about making basic servicing a bloody nightmare, it's a good job I love this bike.
I'm guessing it might be possible to get the the drain plug with a special shallow socket, without removing exhaust?

On the Corsaro, I use a crows foot spanner on the drain plug, which means not having to remove the front exhaust header. You still get oil all over the downpipe but that’s easily cleaned up, and for me a better option than disturbing the exhaust sealing.
I have a feeling last time I did mine, the O ring on the cover for the strainer wasn’t in great shape but I didn’t have a new one and it’s not one of the ones supplied with a new oil filter.
If anyone on here knows the correct o ring size it might be worth posting so that we can all ensure we have one before doing a change in the future

Not entirely sure how a crows foot spanner would help, but I'll certainly give it a go

yes, you are right and apologies for the bum steer... I just went and had a look at mine and no, I obviously don't use a crows foot.
So I took a look at ATG 341 (April 2016), in which I wrote an article on fluid change on my corsaro, and this confirms I use a slim 12 point ring spanner and a careful feel for tightness. You can get slim ring adaptors for torque wrenches so one of these could be an option.
