Have recently bought this. Although not an expert on Morinis, it does appear to be fairly unmolested to my eyes.
My first question is, Sport or Strada ?
there does appear to be an s below the barrel. However it does have Strada bars, not clip ons.
Have spent two hours trying to upload pics but have now given up.

Hi, whatever it is it looks OK to me. It appears to be an electric-start bike (it's something becoming more and more desirable to 'older' owners ) and I imagine it's a later model.
Someone will be able to confirm, you could maybe get a ball park date from the frame number listings on the Dutch Morini site.

This looks like a mixture of diferent models.
The frame, side panels, mudguards and wheels seem to be from a K-model, the seat and tank obviously not

Have managed to source a better seat and a good quality tank with creative artwork from Italy for a good price. Have managed to resurrect all of the electrics, windscreen wiper motor is starting the engine well with an AGM battery. Has passed its mot today, Nova sorted so hopefully will soon be registered. Also will be starting on the cosmetics soon. Can anyone recommend a company that does dry ice/CO2 blasting in the South West UK?

had some shot blasting done etch primed and managed to get a fresh coating of baby sick yellow on the wheels today

Removed the Exhaust nuts today with a tool from NLM. After slight modification to make it fit, I found the rear came undone very easily. However the front one put up more of a fight. After a bit of heat and soaking with Plus Gas my next problem was getting the tool to stay on the nut, despite the nuts being in very good condition. the only way I could get the thing undone was to make up a clamp-able collar to keep the tool in place. Are they normally this troublesome, or did I just have a crappy tool?

That paint does look good! What colour did you use?
My Sport is similar but I think a bit earlier (‘79) and has the all over red with black pinstripes. The front ‘guard also has a gold stripe, but the fact that the rear footrest are embossed Cagiva makes me think they may have been using up whatever was to hand!
Can’t help with the exhaust although steel and aluminium can fuse together, heat and a sharp tap may work?

There have been some comments on the quality of the NLM exhaust spanner, though I've never seen one. The old MZ suspension / tyre lever tool has recently been recommended if you can get one. I use a spanner bought on eBay some years back. Made by a gent called 'Ing William' if I recall, it is quite heavy (about 6mm thick) and made to fit the crenellations of the nut. Hello Stubaker. The paint was matched to the original colour, however was quite close to a Ferrari red. Managed to get the exhaust ring off ok, once I had made up the collar to keep the tool located. The real problem was keeping the thing in place, as soon as any real pressure was applied, it would just slip out of the slots.
