Hi - After a few years with a 08 Corsaro and then a Grandpasso. Im returning with a new 2017 reg (old style) Corsaro but struggling to get a sensible insurance quote with Carol Nash quoting 1,250!!! Devitt £350 with £1,000 excess for 2,500miles/yr, garaged and with 9yrs no-claims at 54yrs old.
Ive got a 2014 R1200GS adventurer which I can insure with Devitt for £250 so I dont understand/accept these silly offers from "name brand" supposed bike specialist insurers.

Although its a vasstly different machine, I insured my modern bonneville for 80 quid last year with Swinton. I was previously with Bennetts who were around that price the year before but nearly doubled it for the renewal. I know that Swinton were looking at introducing multibike policies so you may get a deal to cover both.
I was pleased to find out that I could add my 92 BMW R100RT to my classic bike policy for an eye watering 4 quid, yup, FOUR quid

and that was for 3000 miles fully comp too. That was with RH/ERS who cover all my old bikes (9 of em) plus my 1960 Rover car for 307 quid a year.
Personally, I have no time at all for Nash following their attitude after my father died 16 years ago and I contacted them to let them know. The first response I got before anything else was that 'theres no refund on a classic policy'. There was only a month to go anyway

It convinced me that money grabbing rather than service was top of their list of priorities.

I am with RH, too. They do charge a bit more for modern Morinis, possibly due to the scarcity. I pay about £300 for my Scrambler and 4 x classics, which was £100 more than with my modern T120. I am a similar age but am lucky I live nowhere near Hell, sorry, the Souf east...

Yup, living up here in the Danelaw certainly has many advantages

Best not to gloat though, MM, we don't want too many folk to find out!

It’s suprisngly difficult with the MMs and insurance. The scrambler seems to set insurers into a spin thinking it is some sort of enduro and the granpasso is pretty much a mystery to their systems. Quotes vary widely. I ended up with Hastings who were the only ones that came back with a reasonable quote, still £300/year though for the scrambler.
