Hi everyone.

I recently purchased an 06 Corsaro through 3x the yellow one. It had only done 650 miles from new. I rode it before hand and it was as new. Cosmeticly We repainted the mudguard and rear plastics through dream machine and polished the pipes through a local firm, they look the dogs watsits, although discoloured they clean up nice and easy. Its also now got the end cans that im sure will wake the dead. Ive spent 2 days polishing and cleaning and it looks the better for it now.
I love it!

Now I have a few issues with the way ot runs for give my ignorance Ive read everything I can about them before hand. I just need you to say Rich do that and it will be perfect, what ever that will be.
Whilst I have no worries 3x will sort it out , any help or advice welcome.
issues
1, Starts ok needs a little help to tick over and warm up before riding.
2, Running poorly and erratic. riding through traffic an issue and a worry for low speed control. Do I need a race cpu?
3, Clutch, heavy and seems to not work too good once the bikes warmed up, i.e really difficult to engage first or find neutral from starting off. It really hammers in, lurching forwards.
4, Once warm really loud noise of air escaping or being sucked in, its weird could almost be mechanical so hard to pin point, when riding it its like gas is escaping from a leaking exhaust.

Wants and long term goals
1, Better looking mirrors
2, Front brake is on or off. What can be done-change the master cylinder for better control.
3, Rear brake well what can I say its better now ive fiddled, but could be better by miles?
4, Suspension dives heavily on the front, I will take it to the guys in Bouremouth for setup help. 3x recommended them. Cant remember their name.
5, Luggage advice just for daily commuting i.e to carry a few things shoes lunch box, (I know) Im not a fan of rucksacks.
6, Dyno tune get it running the very best it can be, not for power but more to get it right. Maybe decat exhaust. Errrm expensive i think?
7, Wind protection, Christ with all that torque and wind too im just about holding on... ive lost 3 lbs in weight.
8. Radiator grills.

Im summary its the best bike ive ever had the sound and the torque are amaziing. ( I did have a 955i daytona) I know 3x will get it sorted. But your knolwedge is welcome. Appologies for the long post. When I get bits done i will post them here.
Ive doubled its original miles in the short time I have owned it, fantastic ride!

It sounds as if we are running parallel paths...I "bought" my Black '08 Veloce (with polished pipes) from 3X last November and have only just taken delivery a couple of weeks ago, they've had it virtually ever since. Long story short, cracked fuel tank (unknown to them) and rough running. Be patient as it's now an absolute riot, best things come to those that wait & all that. What did they do? Stripped and cleaned injectors, stepper motor, reset TPS(?) etc and memories of "nightmare in traffic" are a thing of the past, the only nightmare in the traffic now is me scaring old ladies, children and small furry creatures (not really, honest). I'm running open Termi's (no baffles, no de-cat) and the standard ECU, and all is most excellent.

Ask 3X to do the same as they did to Andy's (mine), you should be delighted! You shouldn't really need to go to the extreme's of dyno'ing it.

As for some of your other comments;
Lollipop mirrors have gone, yukk, replaced by chinese copies of Rizoma Tomok's @£44 for the pair inc delivery & all fittings etc (better than £300'ish for the genuine articles, but I would admit that it is the wrong compromise of form over function, but the finish is good, source some carefully, some are rubbish.

Pazzo levers, genuine of course, do not compromise, ISV's are good also, as are many others, but DON'T buy chinese!!

Suspension specialists in Bournemouth (3X recommended I believe) are Racelab, on the Bournemouth Airport Chapel West gate site. I believe that they charge £100, but don't quote me on that. They do British Supersport set-up so should be OK!! If you're going to be in the Bournemouth area let me know, I work (and live) just down the road from Racelab.

Brakes; I've got the Brembo Pumps & no probs, so I guess they're totally different. Some TLC/ cleaning pistons/ fresh fluid etc would probably be my first suggestion, then possibly a fresh set of pads. The Brembo pumps are used on most of the new Ducati's so a breakers may have some.....but maybe that's all a bit radical?

Tail tidy neatens up the rear end. Euro ebay.

On my shopping list I've got Rizomo bar ends and brake/ clutch reservoirs in black to match the rest of the bike, but the expression "Tarts Handbag" was mentioned by the domestic goddess......and the wallet is currently not that deep.

Apart from that, get out and ride it!

.......oh, and another thing....

3X also replaced the Lambda sensor, it wasn't switching properly, affecting smooth running. Now considering when I took it on it's test ride prior to purchase it ran beautifully, the sensor could possibly have been damaged during the exhaust strip/ polishing/ re-assembly? As you had yours done by the same people etc.....just a thought...

As for commuting "luggage" I use an Oakley Rucksack, plenty of choice, comfortable etc. Look on fleabay, bound to be something to suit your taste. For longer jaunts I'm struggling, I bought a set of Oxford throw-overs at the bike show, but they don't fit particularly well, and I'm concerned about contact/ heat/ exhaust etc, although with the straight through Termi's they don't get particularly hot. The bike came with a Ventura frame for their luggage system but quite frankly they're hideous and have already damaged the heat shields.

Got the bike back couple of days ago, bloody nora, im soooo happy what a machine.
I say it as it is and 3x were excellent, collect and delivered back to me.

Renewed all brake and clutch fluids, Brakes inc rear are very good.
Clutch fine.
My bike no longer clatters shims needed doing.
TPS reset with open Termis, runs and sounds great, small amount of hesatency but not a problem ticks over from cold etc.

I will look at the other bits as funds arise mirrors etc.

Happily meet up with any other Riders.

surprised that a bike with such low miles needed the shims done so badly,standard shim service inspection is normally about 6000 miles

You are so right, I asked the very same question of 3x motorcycles too. I have a document from them showing thats had all updates applied to it and all previous MOT's too, The MOT's are from the government web site. I spoke with the previous owner as well. To validate the miles.
Still I wonder though 6 yrs old 650 miles on it when I purchased it. But people do buy bikes and they just gather dust in the garage. I have looked at every U tube video and they all rattle, people seem to ignore or accept this fact.
So my bikes not even run in fully according to the book.
hope you sale your bike soon, Im sure you will, if your reading this and are looking for an awesome piece of Italian machinery go buy one, they are astonishing.

didn't mean to infer that it was clocked ,but more should other owners be aware that maybe the factory possibly didn't put as much care into some of the pre assembly of the engines as they should have.
Lots of owners have bikes with low miles ,sometimes just due to having a few bikes to choose from , so i wouldn't worry about a low mileage.
Not sure if your bike was the one that was advertised privately and then appeared to have been purchased or traded in by a harley dealership down south as the mileage and colour of the bike/specs all match. That was last year.
Probably got a good bike there.

I wouldnt know to be true. The bike looks like new and rides like it too now. It needed some bits doing to it to get it in A1 condition which between 3x the previous owner and me its all been done. They as in 3x were near to chainging its colour as yellow was not selling. Me well every decent bike ive had has been yellow.
FS1E 50 1976, Daytona 955i 03, and my 06 corsaro.
In between Yam TRX850 blue 1998, Suzuki SP400 1982 red, Suzuki TS100 1978 red, Yam YZ125 white.

The Corsaro is monster of a machine, I love it, after picking it up I had it vertical twice on my way home non intentially( I was not trying to wheelie it but I tried pulling away as quick as i could hence the wheelie, my lack of experience, clutch and right hand control) thats a first bike to do that for me. Beeing only 5'7" I could do with it being a little lower it would be nice to be able to touch the ground with both feet. If I could I would be on it 24x7.

Well its turning into a labor of love...

Not long after riding it I couldnt get high beam, well I fixed it, Poxy relay. I actually took the relay cover offer sprayed a little WD40 on the contacts ( they were in good order) replaced the relay cover cleaned all the gunk of the relay sockets and contacts and used vaseline to add a little protection from the elements. That was 6 wks ago its been fine ever since.

When I first rode the bike before buying it it was spot on perfect to ride.

It clearly had an issue when I first took delivery and again it was their even after I got it back.
Slight hesatancy which as since turned into a backfire, cutting out on slow downs, turning the throttle and nothing happened.

So its back with 3Cross (3x motorcles) im just within the warranty period. 3X have been as good as you could expect lending me a new Triumph Bonnie 900cc to use in the mean time, Which rides as if it has less then half the Corsaros power. Im going to request a warranty extension for mine for peice of mind.
I have nearly lost faith in it, especially when it cuts out going around a roundabout. Im sure 3x will fix this niggle.

I do not think its delivered its power correctly since I first had it. So interestingly it will be good to see what its like.
The Bonnie is like a toy with flat batteries by comparison.

Well it had 650 miles on the clock when I bought it, it now has 3400 miles on the clock.
if your thinking about getting one, just buy it.

Most if my issues were caused by incorrect fueling due to my aftermarket cans and incompatible ECU software. See my tuning post. My other issues were just my lack of experience really.

At 5ft 7"/172cm and 70KGs 11 stone, with my leathers on it feels awkward for me at times. I have ordered a british designed and built Nitron road and track shock height adjustable set for my weight. I ride either very quickly or very laid back, my sachs shock is ok most of the time but the height is an issue for me. Nitron explained it to me that generally speaking on all bikes the spring preload is normally for a heavier person. Hence why when im riding sometimes on our great british roads i leave the seat, my 955i was the same.

Wind blast, after 4x3.5 hour journeys in 2 days im exhausted holding on with the immense torq and power combined with energetic riding i just have to get a screen, its on order i will post pics etc with my review too. I nearly always have a very heavy rucksack on my back which doesnt help. But I hated the wind blast on my 955i Daytona, she was fully fared with a Double bubble screen.

MPG is fantastic, a return of 48mpg, a mixed bag of cruising betwen 60-75, stop start town traffic, open road blasts with over taking.

Its going to have a proper service in the next month, air and oil filters, plugs, oil, front forks service.

I love the sound at low rpm in high gear it really is like a Harly, as the revs pick up very quickley i cant describe it its just awesome.
