injector warning light

Post by mgb81 »

can any one help? I went out for a run on my 1200 and have had an intermitent injector warning light come on . Its now permenantly on and the speedo only reads 0mph. It doesnt matter how fast you go ( very difficult in the new forest !) Could this be a battery prob or something else ? bike starts fine . thanks

Hi mgb81
Sorry to hear of your problem...

In short: no, I do not have the answer and think it might be best to get the ECU checked-out,
by 3X?

I note the reference to New Forest: I am in Winchester and given 3X knowledge of these bikes - it would be my
way forward.

Unless somebody here as a quick-fix: you could spend a lot of time experimenting!

Good luck with getting this sorted - my previous 'Corsaro' had the flashing warning light, but not the speedo problem.

Best Wishes

kill switch off
keep button on speedo pressed and then switch ignition on.
this allows the on board diagnostic menu to be accessed, it will show you any dtc codes.
worth a try if only to know how it works

Twisty,

Useful ...and think I'll go and check my bike-out.

The mysteries of Moto Marelli are beyond my limited electrical knowledge.

Thanks for that . Checked the cable and found that after it came back from 3x they had pinched the cable to the sensor after changing the rear tyre . Once freed off all was fine and bike running as normal . Home servicing from now on !
