New Owner; Corsaro Veloce in Bournemouth

Post by Andy R »

(Christmas) Greetings to one & all
I'm Andy, 51 and have been riding since '76, usually two or three bikes in the garage. Just part-x'd a 750 Dorsoduro Factory for an 08 1200 Corsaro Veloce from 3X, wicked bike, in black, Termi's (no baffles).
Recent years have seen various XB Buells, TDR250's, and a Benelli TNT 1130 Cafe Racer, and we have a pair of RV125 2 strokes, one built from the ground up, the other a rolling rebuild.
Saw a Veloce a couple of years ago and liked it, just never tested it. Wifey rides a Brutale 989R, and I was fed up with the lack of fuel economy/range of the Dorso trying to keep up on fast road stuff, my experience not counting on fast A roads, she decided I needed something "a bit more". After trying various options, tested the Corsaro and was hooked. Picked it up a few weeks ago, now just need the opportunity to ride it!
Good to be part of a forum, have been reading and learning from you all over the past few weeks, may post for info in the future. Good to know that you are all here...

Thanks (already) to Twisty for the Manual download just done for Chips1953 !!!

Hi

Well that's good you are just down the road from me! (not) Oh well lets hope they have some good run outs to the highlands.
When I first saw the Corsaro I really liked it, and when I read about it then that was it. Get mine next week.
Yes the forum is full of info and I've noticed there are clubs in NL and France, wonder if there is a group meet?

Hi Chips;

"Groups in the NL and France - wonder if there's a group meet?"; well the Club went to the Netherlands in 2010 for the Dutch clubs' 25th celebration, there's a trip to Dijon next May, and we also get a number across to the Cadwell Track Day, so club members get around...

I'm sure that we'll do a Poole Bike Night, there's Sammy Millers Italian Day, Bristol Italian Auto Festival, and may be a trip to the first Hill Climb of the Season at Hartland Quay, Somerset - not to mention a Tea and Cakes Saturday at Benzina (just south west of Devizes, Wiltshire). And that's just up 'til June next year! If you want to meet other owners in Cumbria area, that's a bit more challenging, but we'll hope to be at the Scottish show in March (fancy riding your bike up that way to put it on the stand? If so, send me a pm) and there is a group just setting up in north Yorkshire...

As 72 degrees says in another post - you almost need to be retired to fit it all in :wink:

Welcome to the Riders Club!!!
