Hi all,
Happy to have finally found a forum for MM Corsaro riders. I live in Maitland (approx 160km north of Sydney) and am the pround owner of a 2008 Veloce. Only ever seen one other on the road here in Aus so can feel a little isolated. Like everyone else I am struggling to find parts particulary oil filters at the moment but I live in hope (any ideas would be appreciated). Since buying the Veloce I have experienced (suffered) the following issues:
Cooling fan blew - took 3 months to get a replacement
Oil leak from the front cylinder breather that I fixed myself
Bottom steering bearing siezed
Rear brake lever pivot bush fell out
Chain guard feel off
I have also made some changes:
Had the front forks re-valved/shimmed to make them more compliant
Installed a Power Commander resulting in 126hp at the rear wheel (I now run the race ECU in permanently)
Fitted heated grips
Changed levers and mirrors
Fitted carbon fibre accessories
Without a doubt this is the best bike I have ever owned and I despair at the fact that the company appears to have gone. Just completed a 300km ride yesterday and still can't get the grin off my face.

Thanks for the link but unfortunatley none in stock.
Re: Just Joined
oill filter sizing
50mm diameter approx
58mm long
tiny little thing,
must have been conceived on a cold winters night.
some of the blister packed filters seem to come with "rings" and those with part number m92200001400 as a bar code and 158029 numbered below are just the filter.
interestingly enough it states
filtro olio catuccia FMV1000
whats a catuccia , italian bread
Looking at some of the links the older mv's seemed to use very small oil filters , of a similar type

Thanks for the info. I noted from previous posts that the filter is a UFI manufactured unit but seems to have been produced exclusively for MM. I had exactly the same issue when trying to source steering bearings. I was advised by the local bearing agent that the bearings had been produced exclusively by FBN for MM and could only be sourced from them. I was finally able to source the bearings from New Zealand but what a nightmare. I regulary ride with Buell owners and I am constanly amazed at the amount of after market parts they are able to source. Shame the same is the case with MM.

Good to see another Aussie on board.
I source my filters from FX Powersports in Melbourne.
They charge obscenely but usually have them in stock and will send them by courier (I live in Brisbane).
How many kays has your bike done? Mine hasn't had any of the problems that yours has.

Just ticked over 25k. Tried ringing FX the other day but the number wouldn't connect?? I have been chasing oil filters out of NZ this week so hopefully will be able to have a few on hand. Price was quoted at NZ$50 each plus postage.

Let us Aussie Veloce rides know if you are successful with sourcing filters.I have not been to FX or rang them since I don't know when.I don't even know if they are still in business? I don't ride much, mainly the odd commute to work and back, using the best Motul double ester oil.Been to busy raising a family and watching End-Time prophetic events unfold.I don't believe Harold false prophet Camping's, the World is going to end on the 21st of May 2011.Or that 2012 Mayan dooms day shit. What a crock. Ride free and beware of those cars and false prophets.
