radial master cylinder

Post by twisty »

what's the difference between the standard corsaro and the veloce with the radial pump cylinder on the handlebars.

Does it vastly improve the braking, if so what's needed to upgrade :?:

I didn't know there was a difference between the two models as far as brakes go.
All I can tell you, twisty, is that the difference between the Veloce trying to send you over the handle bars and a Ducati 1098 trying to send you over the handlebars is one finger.

I wish we all waited a year until Morini bought out a Veloce with an Ohlins front end & radially mounted Brembo monoblocs .

I've done a a few miles on both a corsaro and the veloce version. The braking is better on the Veloce and feel through the lever is better too. Some of this 'feel' must have come from the uprated suspension too.

They sure would look good!
Not that I really have anything to complain about regarding the standard gear on my Veloce, it does the job nicely.

Hello,

does anybody knows what's the size(diameter) of original radial master cylinders (brake+clutch) used in Corsaro, please? I looked into parts catalogue, but there's no information about it, just part number M2140021.
I just play with an idea of upgrading master cylinders but don't know what size to use. If 16mm or even 19mm, maybe..??

Thank you for your advices.

Morning

My Corsaro 1200 was modified by the previous owner and he fitted a Brembo RCS 19mm brake cylinder and a Brembo 16mm clutch cylinder along with Brembo RCS 30cc reservoirs and Brembo ORO discs and the braking is great.

Thank you Stevie.

I have recieved quite good offer for not used radial brembo pumps, but they are 16mm. I think that there won't be a big difference between 19 and 16... or I might be wrong? :?
