Hi,
Can anyone tell me what this bracket is for on my 1979 350 Sport? It has an M5 thread tapped in it. The rear brake cable rubs on it whether it runs over or under it.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Derek.

Re: Bracket identification
Is that a standard brake pedal?
Is it for an adjustable stop?
Presumably the 79 arrangement is different to the early sport (as parts drawing) though. Too long since I had my 79 Sport to remember!

Re: Bracket identification
Neither my 79 sport or 79 frame (in case of emergency) have that bracket so presume it is an added extra - for what I have no idea! - thanks - Duncan

Re: Bracket identification
I too think that's a non-original bit, maybe for a brake lamp micro-switch? pretty unfortunate position too!
All donations to the rest home for old Camels, Leicestershire.
Re: Bracket identification
I think it is a stop. There should be a screw through it for adjustment. Pretty sure I have similar on my 2C, I'll have a look in a bit and post again.

Here are a few pics of the arrangement on my 2C if they are any help.
