Re: Welcome new forum members - introduce yourself
Didn't make it to Willersey, crocked knee and unable to ride that far. Improving with physio, good enough to ride to Baskers only an hour away.

That's a shame, Robin. Hope it improves soon.
Enjoy the ILOC 50th party at Baskers and meeting Piero Laverda and watching the V6 in action. Maybe the MRC will invite Mr Lambertini over next year?

Hello Random, nice bike. I understand there is a great bike scene in Slovakia. Maybe one day I will ride to Slovakia via Germany (Harz Mountains) and Czechia.
What year is your Corsaro?
There is also a very big Morini following in Germany, there are some Morini owners from Germany on this site who advertise meetings. Also, there is an annual Morini event in North Italy every May where you will see every Morini model being ridden.
Please let us know how you get on with your Corsaro.
Mike.

Re: Welcome new forum members - introduce yourself
Ok, where to start...
My Corsaro is MY2011, all black, with termignoni exhaust. I love that sound!
I have never seen any Corsaro on the roads in my country, even in neighbours countries it is something very special and not common to see. Thank you for letting me know about the big meeting in Italy, maybe next year I'll be able to get there.
I was always big fan of italian V2 bikes. But I always had something older - without any computers and so on. I planned to buy something else - Aprilia SL Falco - but then I have found Corsaro. And this bike is something completely different. All the brand philosophy is different, engine is very special in technical point of view (and I love such technical specialities)... So I have simply decided, to buy something truly special. Fast, robust and unforgiving bike made in small numbers by hands... That is simply wonderful for me.
I know, that purchase of an old italian V2 with very low production numbers can be PITA and it might hurt me (and especially my wallet
) but.... I wanted to try it anyway.
I already found some really kind man with Corsaro in Czech Republic who is very helpful. And I already wrote some messages with one member of this forum and he also helped me. Immediatelly! So I start to believe all the MM owners comunity is bunch of very good people.
So if anyone from this forum will have ride to this way, let me know, please. Even in case of any troubles, accident, breakdowns or what so ever... I can help and everyone will be welcome.

Re: Welcome new forum members - introduce yourself
Hello Everyone,
I've recently bought myself a 1977 3 1/2 Strada which I'm sorting out as it was in need of some TLC.
I'm a returning biker having been away some 23 years. I stopped when we had a family but I always missed it. The last bike I had was a Guzzi T3 although I'd had all sorts of Italian, Japanese, German and British stuff before then, including a 3 1/2 Sport back in 1980. Despite moving onto bigger bikes I always had a fondness for the agility of the smaller machines and the ability to play tunes with the gearbox without doing silly speeds, hence choosing a Morini again.
I've kept my hands oily in the intervening years by building a Westfield (like a Caterham) which for the last 20 years I've been sprinting and hillclimbing and developing into quite a potent and competitive machine. However, I've decided to hang up my racing boots. I'll keep the car but soften it a bit for the road.
Simultaneously, I've recently recommissioned an MZ250 Supa 5 for a friend, and riding that was so joyful and natural that I realised I needed a bike in my life again to make me complete. My wife agreed. She used to love the Guzzi although she's said she's less bothered about going pillion this time around. We'll see.
The Westfield is about as close to a bike as you can get on four wheels but it's not the same, as you all will know.
Having got the need for speed out of my system on track I'm looking forward to some gentle, tuneful ambling and exploring the countryside on the Morini.
Safe riding!
Howard

Hi Howard,
Welcome back to Morini ownership!
The Warwickshire section meet twice a month, and not a million miles from you so perhaps see you at one of the meetings-
2nd Monday of the month in the evening at Caffeine and Machine in Ettington and 3rd Saturday lunchtime at the Wharf inn in Welford

Hi I’m Lucien I joined just over a year ago. I’m based both in Suffolk and the Isle of Wight (it’s complicated). Are there any members in either location that would like to meet up to discuss the awesomeness of Moto Morinis? I would also include Norfolk and north Essex.
I have a 1980 registered 3 1/2 sport ( I think it’s an earlier model year though)
Cheers

I'm Tim, live in Mid Bedfordshire UK, picked up my first Morini in summer, scratching a 40bpkus year itch. She's a non standard 1971 3 1/2 Sport, Valentini exhaust, Marzocchi rear shocks, LSL clip ons and a Vauxhall shade of light blue.

Welcome to the Forum, Tim. A handsome looking machine - I'm guessing that it sounds as good as it looks as well! Hope to see you and the Sport at some MRC events once the weather improves (!) and perhaps even at the IoM next year at the Classic as it's our 50th anniversary!
Good riding for 2025,

Hi Tim, I too scratched a long running itch in August and got a 1981 500 Sport. It hasn’t disappointed !
Your bike looks lovely. If you fancy a run up to South Shropshire I help organise The Marches Moto Italia at The Powis Arms, Lydbury North. It’s a cracking ride up and a great day with a lovely variety of bikes and usually several Morini’s present. Sunday 1st June 2025. Further info in the new year.
Steve.

The MRC had it's AGM in 2023 just outside Norwich and there were a number of local members who came along and so I'm sure that come the New Year it should be possible to arrange a meeting - and maybe even get a local section off the ground if there is enough interest. Norfolk / Suffolk boarders sounds like a sensible location, if there are interesting roads and a good location? I presume that you've also joined the Club as not everyone on here has and there's much good information in the magazine A Tutto Gas...
Good riding,
CC
