i am getting 3-1/2 sport from surrey. i am getting a courier firm to collect the bike and deliver it to me in newcastle upon tyne and i will not be there when the bike is collected from the seller in surrey. what do i do about the logbook V5

dougi again. sorry i should have said i have payed for the bike by cheque through the post the seller lives 300 miles from me.

Hi Dougi,
Ask the seller to sign section 8 on the V5 form then send the V5 to you with the bike.
You can complete sections 6 and 10 with your name/address. Keep section 10 and send the first page to DVLA.

Instructions are on the V5.

i have bought a lot of bikes(more that 20) over the years but never this way thanks steve
