I had to rebuild the rear one on my daily commute DR650. I soaked the new seals in fluid overnight, put it all back together, went for a ride and noticed a small drop of fluid underneath.
Took it off the bike and totally cleaned any stray fluid from the caliper, still leaked.
It was only a small drop after each ride and the brake was working fine so I put up with it awaiting a second hand one I had won on ebay. Of course when it arrived, my original one had stopped leaking

Does it really take almost two weeks for the seals to swell and seal correctly?
