Ignition coil rewinding

Post by RobinSF1 »

I have been informed by West Country Windings that they nolonger rewind Morini 3 1/2 or 500 ignition coils.

I have sent enquiries to:

BB Bikeshop - previous recommendation on the forum
Rex's speed shop - previous forum posts suggerst they have stopped doing rewinds but website still advertises this as a service
Sahib's - previous recommendation on Laverda forum
APL magnetos - recommendation from a mate
The magneto guys - VMCC
ARMOTO - VMCC

I will update this post with their responses.

If anyone knows of other UK companies who rewind coils, please add them to this post as a resource for others.

Bearing in mind the cost of a rewind, consider the SWF ignition. It does rely on the battery. So far, so good for me and the support is good.

I have SWF ignition on my 250 2C and I'm very happy with it.
