Re: Kick starting technique

I’ve never kickstarted a 500 so I’ll not comment on specific technique but generally a Morini likes a good sharp kick rather than a lumbering swing if you know what I mean. But, the reason for my reply, incase anyone omits to mention it- NEVER kickstart a Morini on the sidestand. It will at some poi...

Re: Dart Fuel Tap/Lying Low Level Switch

Sadly the tap is unique to the dart, and there are no known stocks, used or new (trust me, I’ve been looking for 20 years!) There are similar electric solenoids used on other bikes, but none that I’ve ever seen with the inbuilt level sender. Similarly there are similar level senders but none with th...

Re: Lighting circuit problem

Checked through the wiring as amp flow from generator was nowhere near what it should have been after the regulator. Cleaned up the terminals and the fuse holders etc and …. back to 14.5 volts across the battery terminals at 5000 revs. So seems it may just have been dirty spade connectors. Glad you...

Glad to gear it.

And for future reference, I've now added a Granpasso wiring diagram to the members area too

Re: Wiring diagram

Ah maybe not then, it’s been a while since I’ve looked at that manual.

There is definitely a Corsaro wiring diagram in the members area technical section though.

Try here:

(You’ll need you club members area login)

Re: Wiring diagram

I don’t know of one for a granpasso, that’s not to say there isn’t.

There is a wiring diagram for the Corsaro though in the Corsaro workshop manual, which is available to download from the members area. Depending on your needs this may help get you looking in the right direction

Re: Fuel tap overhaul

Just by way of update on this, the club has now received the first samples from our new tooling for electric tap diaphragms and they look excellent.

We are undergoing a period of testing now and then will be producing a full batch so watch this space and ATG for updates soon.

Re: New dart new problems (tank and fairings)

Ahh the two Achilles heels of the Dart… Tank: I think it’s fair to say that no permanent repair solution has been found so far. The normal reason for leaks is splits around the mounded in bosses for the fuel tap or airbox bolts, or people using too long a bolt or doing them up too tight. I have also...

Re: Stator Question

Won’t be a kokusan one with a green wire. The kokusan ignition doesn’t use a self generating ignition winding like the ducati electronica ones.

Kokusan stator has 3 yellow wires only and many very neatly wound coils

Re: Best 31/2 cam for all-round flexibility?

Sport cam was used from the first sports up until the later K series bikes where they moved to the M cam. There should be an S Stamped in the cam between the middle lobes, not so helpful if the engine is together, but easy to check what cam you have by measuring with a timing disc. None of the Morin...

Re: Reinstating the electric starter part 2

Can you post some pictures of what you have? As above, I don’t believe there were any differences in the electric start case for the road models. I’ve not got a decent picture of my k1 before I fitted rearsets but below is a picture from the sales brochure of the standard setup, and one of my bike n...

If you run out of options, there is what looks to be quite a clean used pair on eBay in Italy:

I’ve bought from this seller before, no problems.

Re: 250 rebuild from bits

I’ve no experience of the 250 but certainly with the 350 It’ll start with/without an airbox even if it doesn’t run great without. A spray of coldstart down the carb mouth is a good way to rule out carb or ignition issues. If you’re not even getting a pop then: Are you absolutely certain that the pic...
