Hello,
does anyone have a gear change lever for a 125H for sale? Not sure if the lever from the 3.5 and 500 are the same if so that may narrow my search.
Regards
Leonard.

Re: Does anything strip paint off 3 1/2 Strada engine cases
Have them blasted it will remove all the old paint and if the grits fine enough will not damage the aluminium I am no expert but had my cases vapour blasted by Vapourworx in Swadlincote, they came back really good to say that they were probably silver painted in the factory.

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
Hello Julian, now I have the engine running I have to attend to just a few items that were put on the back burner until that was the case. I arrived at a point where I was not going to spend any more cash or time until the engine worked and it almost went back on eBay! So I have to fix a small leak ...

Re: Ignition timing 125H?????? Assistance please!
Hello Bill, I wondered if you still had your 'Minx' or if you had given up on it, I nearly gave up on mine but found a cure from Anthony Tams who runs Scootronics in Stafford. He suggested that at first I should align the pick - up with two magnetic triggers inside the flywheel, this is done with sh...

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
Hello All with a 125H as you may know some of us have experienced ignition problems with the 125H I appear to have recently resolved mine with the help of an electronics expert. Its now finally running as it should, initially I used shims to make sure that the pick - up was in line with the magnetic...

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
Hi Julian, There are 125H problems all over the place, as you can see from this forum. I have done very little with mine over the winter but just getting back to it now, mine is an early model and the electrics on the later bikes are slightly different. No one seems to know what the problem is, I th...

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
The 125H problem is not just within the UK I have made quite a few contacts in Germany and the Netherlands with very similar issues, although some owners have no problems at all with them. One German contact is looking at using a modern Ducati single ignition/generator unit and I await with some int...

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
It may well be, but its easy to collect lots of useful or useless ornaments in the form of components that did not cure the problem. The 125H was never officially imported into the UK so knowledge and spare parts is rare I made a rookie mistake when I bought mine, the sump was full of oily sludge an...

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
From what I can gather, the transducer does not have any effect on the advance and retard of this particular engine, this came from a Morini expert in Germany, who runs several different models including a 125H. the advance and retard is/or should be effected by the pick - up and the rotor, the tran...

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
Hi Mickey Moto, yes the advance curve may not be correct, there is always an issue with these things but it would be nice to replace the whole system with one that works. I cannot find an answer to the problem, of advance or the lack of it and I don't know why. I think these ignitions may have bee b...

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
Hi Bill, a bit more and probably useless bit of information, a friend of mine had a Vespa some time ago and he distinctly remembers the transducer was the same as fitted to the Morini part number 323921 and says the ignition system looked very much the same as ours, as far as he could remember, He t...

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
Hi Bill, I am sure their must be an ignition out there that would fit, I doubt very much from what I have read about Morini that the Ducati Elettrotechnica ignition was made specifically for them, its more than likely that Morini made their crankcase to accept a system that was cheap and readily ava...

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
Hi Bill, My understanding was that VAPE had been taken over by HPI or maybe the other way around although VAPE still appear to be operating in the Czech republic I may ask the Netherlands contact on this to make sure, but they have informed me that they will not longer make the system for the 125H o...

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
Hello Bill, thanks for the reply, in regard of the rectifiers I made note as a point of identification only, my early bike is fitted with a plastic rectifier on a metal base and it also acts a a junction and fuse box, yours I believe is the later or improved type, also I think some even later bikes ...

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
Hi Bill, yes a bit too cold for working on bikes in sheds and garages, we have only had a small amount of snow nothing like what they had in the south. I have two flywheel but they both look the same to me - unless something is missing from both of them the only solution would be finding a new one t...
