Italian bikes used pretty standard fork sizes the options were -
small bikes 32mm
medium/large 35mm
occasionally big bikes 38mm

Look for 35mm (this is close, as a gnat's whisker, to Brit bikes using 1 3/8" stanchions)

Sorry, what I should have added is to get some special rubber grease which is intended for brake systems. NLM sell small satchets for 50p.
