Bikes in Bus Lanes by Default
The Motorcycle Action Group currently has an online petition to allow bike access to bus lanes by default. This is in response to last year's consultation which resulted in the decision to keep the status quo and leave it up to local authorities so we have a position where you can access bus lanes o...

Re: Waterpump
I know what you mean about them being noisy and yes sometimes they are noisier than other times. I put it down to cavitation and find that next time it'll be alright again.

Re: Alternator wires / connector
Hi Tom
I seem to recall that Roofus had the same issue. I'll ask him next time I see him, hopefully at the next Corsaro meet.

Number Plate Hanger - ZZ
I have just retro fitted an early Corsaro number plate hanger onto my ZZ in order to do away with the swing-arm mounted contraption that's prone to failure.

Re: Piston Rings
Pistons don't look too bad, although could do with a brush off.
64mm hmmm, tempting but will need to rebore the cylinder....
I'll have a look at King of Pistons, thanks.

Piston Rings
Following an unfortunate lift home courtesy of the AA, I have now investigated the problem. Broken piston rings. In the absence of any in stock at Mdina, where is a good place to order some? I'm thinking of full sets for front and rear and according to my measurements they are standard 62mm. 1980 St...

Re: Fitting new calliper seals
I haven't tried on the Morini but I tend to put the piston in the freezer for 10 minutes or so and it pops right in.

October Corsaro Section Meet
Apologies for the short notice, however time has run away with me.
Due to the weather (storm Alex) and the rule of six it would not be a good idea for the October Corsaro Section meet to officially go ahead. Hopefully weather and restrictions will ease for next month.

Re: Bike won't start - Sorted now
The Corsaro was fitted with an MF lead acid battery, the ZZ has a lithium battery. Yes they do require different chargers as I believe the charging rates are different. I did find that you need a healthy battery to start the bike, it seems to take a lot of charge to do so. As for the solenoid, one a...

Re: Carb balance
Did mine last week.I used 220mL of 15Wt oil per leg in my 83 K1 as usual. Interestingly one leg produced lovely clean oil and the other produced a filthy grim looking liquid. I run gaiters on the stanchions. Must be something degrading I guess. Speaking of filthy looking grim liquid a bar down the ...
