hello all, does it matter which way round the two yellow wires go , from alternator to regulator , its a later sport model , the regulator has a red plastic top, many thanks, muller.

it looks like its running weak and running to hot, looking at the plugs, and its the same on both pots , if you haven't already , check fuel taps for flow , as its a usa spec , check there is no missing vacuum pipes etc causing air leaks to the carb manifolds , have you put the carb slides the right...

i had similar probs clunky changes, drag hard to get neutral , i changed the clutch cable , then adjusted the arm for correct travel , the right hand side thing that moves the clutch pushrod , take the free play up on the bar, then check the arm lever isnt contacting the engine crankcase, i had to h...

not bad when you think about it , general ware on some engine parts , i doubt lambertini imagined when they left the factory they would be still on the road fourty years later , long live the little vee twins and there owners.

have you got the return spring on the selector shaft fitted right it needs to be under tension, if its not located right it can give the symptoms you describe worth a look.

standard crank pin 32mm ,the primary drive bearing is a wopper of a size and carries most of the forces, the crank should have no end float once the primary gear nut is torqued up if it has youve got probs, you wont know till you put the two engine halfs together the crank should be a sliding fit in...

the left hand main bearing should be a snug sliding fit on the crank so that sounds ok , not totaly sure on the timing side but you say its been converted to a conventional roller type bearing so same should apply , the end float in the crank will be taken out when you tighten the nut on the left si...

thanks for the feedback, very interesting comments thought it was just me having all the discomfort. hendre , if you find a strada top yoke p.m me , its the later sport with the clocks in dashboard console a real nuisance of a thing when it comes to swapping bars cables etc , thanks muller.

so it looks like rear sets are the way to go , still not convinced about the clip ons and maybe go with the strada yoke if I can , in my teenage years it wouldn't be an issue the more café racer the better , just cant hack it nowadays will try the rear sets idea it must be an improvement on a bike d...
