Re: Import problem?
Nuovo - 91 Anniversary model. A 50's one is a bit beyond my means
HMRC have given me the go ahead to register - now I'm struggling to get my head around all the info on Gov.uk. I'll be calling them with a long list of questions!

Re: Import problem?
Hi Alan - this is my second Saturno. First was a lovely all-red one - immaculate condition and really low mileage. I part exchanged it for a Guzzi and missed it as soon as it went. Shouldv'e kept it and just paid outright for the Guzzi  If you're used to old Brit bikes then the Saturno will pro...

Re: Import problem?
Following Paul's advice I wrote an accompanying letter explaining the situation. Reply from HMRC arrived today and everything's fine. No VAT due and I can now register the bike with DVLA. Vehicle Import Pack now applied for - hopefully straightforward from now on. Restoration work continues... Thank...

Re: Import problem?
Hi Stevie - it was a private sale so all I have is the German registration document and a receipt. Looks like it might be fun? I called HMRC and they're emailing me the Nova form...

Import problem?
Hi - Not sure if I have a problem here, but hopefully someone with more experience than me can offer some advice. Two years ago I bought a basket case Gilera Saturno Anniversary Edition from Germany. Private sale. I had the bike delivered by courier and stored it in my shed while I worked out what n...

Re: fork issue. help
Just did mine at the weekend - half a day and all done. No special tools. Forks off the bike. Drain old oil. Bottom bolt out - slider off. Circlip pulls out. Two seals each fork - pop out easy enough. Inspect & clean internals as best you can. Tap new seals in - lip down for both. Circlip back i...

I ordered two lower cables from Venhill, only to find the nipples at one end were incorrect.
I fitted my own rather than send back - seemed less hassle...

Re: Newish member with a 3 1/2 Sport
Must try and get hold of the magazine - not much written about the Saturno. Presumably because not many around. Great bike though! I have tarozzi adjustable bars on the Morini in deference to my advancing years so relatively comfortable position. I also put a Ducati left hand switch gear on for easi...

Re: Newish member with a 3 1/2 Sport
Richard - we must have been separated at birth. D/D 350 Sport and a Saturno - motorcycle doppelgangers! Your thoughts of when you were a teenager echoed mine back then - I was at sea and saved my pennies one trip to buy a new 350 Sport as I just loved them. I used to hang out with Trident, Z650 and ...
