Does anyone have a reasonable tank for sale to suit a 1978 3 1/2 sport? The tank was fitted to the disc brakes sports, more angular than the strada tank with bolted front mountings. Paintwork irrelevant, but not too rusty or dented would be good.
If you can help, let me know.

Re: HJ Pugh auction - Morini project
I had a Honda but I think the sound track was a loud high pitched scream (may have been the bike, or perhaps the pilot) then BANG!!… then silence.

Re: HJ Pugh auction - Morini project
I think it’s a Cimatti Caiman with a Franco Morini engine. One of those 70’s sports mopeds which were faster than a Yamaha fs1e…briefly!

Re: 2+2 camshaft
If Paul can’t help, I have a NOS factory 2-2 camshaft which I was considering selling. Never used, possibly the last one in the world!
I was going to put it in my 3 1/2 sport, but decided to keep it original (ish) so used a sport cam instead.

What was the problem? I’m thinking of trying this so am interested to hear how easy it was, how well it works.

NLM transducer replacement kit
Does anyone know if NLM’s transducer replacement kit is compatible with the black pickup? I’d like to use a black pick up I have with a known good transducer replacement kit and drive an electronic tacho from the kit. I assume I’ll need to add diodes to the cables from the black pick up, but before ...

Morini 500 project for sale
IMG_2651.jpeg Morini 500 project. 1981 U.K. bike, matching numbers V5 in my name. Bought as an incomplete project, I’ve gradually collected most of the missing parts. There is no electric start and the kickstarter is a late top swivel type, there are no switches but the loom, generator, ignition sy...

Re: Sourcing bottom end spares
I believe Ariel square 4 shells (1000cc) might be worth investigating. The inner diameter of the big end eye is 1.5002-7 so same as the Morini 500 and the standard crank big end journal is 1.375”/34.925mm. They are easily available eg from Dragonfly.

Kanguru front wheel
Disc type front wheel with speedo drive and spindle. In good condition with excellent Akront rim. I originally bought this to have an 18” rim fitted to convert my strada to disc brake at the front then never got round to it. Clearing garage for house move. £25 + postage or collection from N Essex

Re: C Spanner for Exhaust Ring
If anyone is still looking for an exhaust nut wrench could I recommend the ones produced by Rick Stemp? I received mine yesterday and it fits nicely and is a good thickness. The thread about them was in the “for sale” section. No connection etc!

Re: Anyone with a 501/507 engine in bits on here?!
I have taken the left hand cover off an Excalibur 507 engine this afternoon - it is ear marked to go in my 3 1/2 in due course. As others have already reported, the kickstart gear has 19 teeth and measures 52.9mm diameter. I had an old 350 equivalent to hand. This has 20 teeth and measures 52.0mm ac...
