I tried the throttle thing on the advice of NLM - it will only start with the throttle closed. I thought about having the flywheel remagnetised. Is there anyway to check it?

I've just posted exactly the same problem in the 3.5 forum!! The old style pick up has a magnet in it and I wonder if that generates a bit of extra current?
