I had my forks hard chromed by 'Hard Chrome Plating & Grinding' in Ollerton, back in 1989 for the princely sum of £57.50, which included the return post. They've done about 40k since (not so much of late) and are still serviceable. It's an investment! 8)

I had the kick start lever / break pedal interface problem about fifteen years ago, displacer blocks and swan - neck kick start levers were not available at the time.
