Re: Wanted - Early electronic tach (or parts of) for 74 Spor
Hi, I haven't been on the site for awhile so I missed this post, I am in Australia, Port Macquarie and have an early Sport, (8500 red line) and a Strada (8000 red line) electronic tachometers that have both been restored. I don't need them as I already have what I need. So if anyone is after them le...

Re: Forks
Hi Mike,
I am trying to recall, but if can get a parts picture it may well help, I vaguely remember they can be tight to remove, is there a washer there under the clip that may be caught?
Cheers
Brett

Re: Setting up the double sided front drum
I have the 1974 Sport and the drum works fantastically, likewise the same drum on my 1974 Benelli Tornado and 1970 Laverda 750GT and all three work well, yes the setting up of them is paramount for effect, but once done they a very good. Also remember there is a greater braking distance required com...

Re: Just bought a 1974 Sport
Sorry I forgot to mention yes the Veglia electronic tacho is renowned for being a tad inaccurate. They basically rev like a two stroke.
Have fun with it

Re: Just bought a 1974 Sport
Hi, Yes I have one that was built in late 1973 which was one of the first, no they weren't fitted with indicators and yeas the sport had the 8500 redline Veglia tacho, the Strada had the 8000 redline tacho. This is mine after a 2.5 year total restoration, the speedo when restored maintained the orig...

Re: Early Sport D/drum
Hi Peter, I have one that was built in late 1973 and its frame number is A/1 05179 DGM11040 OM, so that will help, the engine only had S on it which indicates a sport motor. The yoke on the early model did not have the Sport badge on the yoke, they didn't happen until 1975 along with indicators. Che...

Re: Handlebar Mounting Rubbers
Hi, Just thinking I have a Benelli 650s that also uses tapered rubbers to mount the handlebar mounts, they have one on top and one from beneath, possibly the same size. Try one of these two companies who supply the parts for the Benelli, they maybe the correct size considering it was the same era. h...

Re: My Restored Moto Morini 3 1/2 Sport
Yes it is a fantastic restoration by Steve Craven at SRC Ducati, it is the first Morini he has done.
He is putting the Sachse electronic ignition in as well.
Cheers

My Restored Moto Morini 3 1/2 Sport
Hi, Here is a link to my Morini 3 1/2 Sport, she is a 1974 model but numbers indicate she was built late 1973, one of the original 9 that was sent to Australia, I believe she is one of 3 currently surviving. I have the documentation from the two previous owners to support this information. The odome...
