Re: Tour d'ecosse
Mike;
Maybe we meet up at Motohubs' open day (9th October) and compare fittings... It's a reason to be there, apart from all the fun of the fair! It's also a decent mid-way point with (possibly) free coffee

Re: Bikes for sale
"Piglet" - so called because Chris Chapman used to live at a house called Piglet in the Wild, just west of Frome in Somerset... He hill climbed it quite successfully, as did his Dad, Tom C. Both sadly no longer with us...

Re: Tour d'ecosse
When I rode the GranpassoR from the factory the reserve light came on after 100 miles (160km) from filling the tank up - so after about 10/12 litres had been used (we were two up and this was in 2017). Remember that this bike uses the same tank design as the 'ordinary' (can I describe the Granpasso ...

As Mike says - you need to be a paid up member of the Morini Riders Club; registering for the forum is not the same as joining the Club!

Re: Tail Tidy?
Yeah, I'd be interested in one as well - for the latest generation of Morini (i.e. - the ones with the swing-arm mounted light / number plate fittings).
I am guessing / hoping that it might be possible to retro fit the mountings from the original Corsaro series...

Re: Auxiliary Lights
The bike pictured is a version of the GPR (GranpassoR) - probably a really rare version of the standard Gp, but with 17" wheels. Great to ride, I tried one at the Factory back in 2017 (so long ago now...)

Re: Finally
Built for the yoof? Or perhaps the old man who finds that the Granpasso is too heavy... but hold on a moment, it weighs the same (roughly) as the Gp. However, the weight looks to be carried lower, the fuel economy is likely to be better, and we don't go over 85 mph much now anyway. Need to wait and ...

Re: Rear axle nut
I think that the pegs are similar to some Triumphs
Having just adjusted the chain on the GP I know that it uses a 28mm spanner, and it was done up tight!
