surely the tooling and designs are worth buying; what about the spares inventory?
somone like 3X might be keen to provide support for owners going forward if the price is right?

Re: service manual
a search finds lots of Granpasso Service manuals available from Warez and Bit torrent sites but all of them are rated dangerous by Web Of Trust (WOT).
I won't be downloading any of them but if somone has a copy they know is free of virus etc; I'd be keen

Re: Fuel Consumption
Hi All, So there we were on the way back from French motogp, me on GP my mate Andy on his BMW1200ST. We stop at Maidstone services and fill up. Next stop Hilton Park for use of services and we decide to fill up again. Andy's bike takes 16.3litres and GP takes 20.97litres! Hmmmm. Good job it has a b...

Re: Fuel Reserve again
rode home yesterday from Wanganui: passenger plus Givi top box plus tank bag meant I was well loaded. I managed 268 kilometres to reserve and am still running a tight motor at just over 2000km old. On the way down the bike gave 16km per litre or about 45mpg with the above passenger and luggage PLUS ...

Re: Fuel Reserve again
Hi all Had the fuel pump replaced (mid March 2010) as this is part of the reserve float thingy. Was happy to start with as was now getting 1.2/1.5 litre on reserve, but now find out this is not so good . The Manuel states fuel reserve is 4 divided by 6 which works out at 0.66 or if you work the other...

Re: New owner in New Zealand
I was a bike courier out of Cardiff in the early 1980s and often had to trek to Scarborough or Dundee in Winter. Black ice was the biggest concern although a few of those UK Winter blizzards had me cowering in the services on the M6 on more than one occasion! Later lived in Bedford, Plymough and Cra...

New owner in New Zealand
I've taken a punt on buying the GP. It's a new 2009 model in red and is one of the last two available in the country; there's a Corsaro left too. The importer is standing behind the 3 year warranty and I figure that Moto Morini has a bunch of tooling and moulds already made so if they eventually do ...

Re: GPR Carbon can vid
standard can looks good but not comfy for passengers as it retains too much heat. Why do manufacturers insist on placing heavy hot catalytic mufflers up high just under the passengers thigh? For that reason alone; I'll be buying an after market muffler. If it had been down low like a Buell, Yamaha e...

Re:
Hi, Please don't quote me on this but I belive that the FL gauge is to do with the heated grips gauge. When they are fitted you can adjust them to different tempetures. when i got my bike a few days ago i played with the heated handgrip switch even though i dont have heated grips: the orange engine...

Re: What Reserve
I've done 650 kilometres so far on my Granpasso. The fuel light came on with around 10 litres left in the tank. That's quite a lot but as long as its consistent, I'm happy enough. Milegae is almost 14 kilometres per litre or in British Gallons: 40mpg. I'd expect to see that get better as th engine l...
