SAE70 EP Starter Gearbox Oil
Hi, where do you guys get your 70 grade oil for the starter gearbox these days?
I feel it’s about time I changed mine, I searched trusty Google but only found overseas sites with massive postage costs.
Any info would be gratefully welcome.

Re: Another joke cable from Venhill
Strangely enough, I’ve recently had a Venhill clutch from Mdina and the inner was too long!!!
I had to make an extra ferrule to compensate.

Re: Air Filter Renewal
Thanks rossguzzi. I’ve done it, it seems awful lot of fuss to access air filters, but hey ho it is what it is.
Thanks again.

Air Filter Renewal
I’ve finally removed the petrol tank ( what a struggle, I think the cups that seat on the rubber pads were catching on some cable clips), how on earth do you access the air filters? do you have to remove the carbs then remove the air filter casing? I’ve done a search on “air filter” but it didn’t yi...

Re: Cam Belt Size
Thanks guys, my manual has been returned to me and everything is clear now.
How do you guys prevent the rotor from turning when undoing the nut, do you all have the special tool?

Cam Belt Size
Hi, its time to replace the cam belt on my 500 Strada, I can't for the life of me remember how to determine if I need size A, B or C.
Is there anybody out there that knows ?
Thanks in advance
Mick.

Re: Indicators Staying On
Hi, thanks for the replies. The battery is kicking out plenty of volts, the flasher relay has only two contacts so I guess it's not a 3-pole, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Indicators Staying On
The indicators on my 500 have been working fine but now the don't flash, they stay on. In my simplistic way of thinking I know the bulbs are ok because they all light up, I assume the switch is OK because moving it to the left lights up both left hand indicators and vice versa, also the warning ligh...
No Spark
Fixed my indicators (slight corrosion on terminal in bulb holder), as I was running the thing in the garage to check these out it just stopped, I'm not getting a spark from either plug. I cant imagine that both transducers failed together so I suspect the fault is further back up the system, trouble...

Re: Priming the Master Cylinder
I wish I had replaced the spring as well, I'm surprised it's not part of the seal/repair kit! I don't have a diagram, but even with the seal and the bore dripping with fluid it was still a tight fit and may need working up and down a bit to get it returning properly.

Re: Priming the Master Cylinder
Thanks for the replies guys. Yes, the seal is fitted correctly, I sent a photo to NLM when I first fitted it and they confirmed it was correct. I called into a local motorbike repair shop and asked if they would bleed the rear brake for me, "no problem" they said "we do it all the tim...
