Hi,
I have the same white wire on my 500 which is not connected to the fuse box. I queried this with NLM and they said it is an earth wire and is not fitted to all stators. My charging system works fine without it connected.
Cheers, Enfie.

Re: colour wiring diagram
Hi Keith, I have a 1980 500 and I have made quite a few running repairs to the wiring. I have used the wiring diagram you describe and have found it to be accurate. Most of my problems have been ageing wiring and poor earths, not surprising after 30 years. I hope to rewire the bike fully over the wi...

Re: Bleeding Rear Caliper
Nope, one at a time, I think they are both equidistant from the hose input, so bleed new fluid through each nipple until no air bubbles are visible.

Re: Mirrors
Had a pair of mirrors fitted to my Strada when I picked it up from NLM last year. There is a clamp available (from NLM) which has a threaded boss built in. These mirrors are pretty useless, once up to speed the view is just a blur, OK in towns and low speeds though. Took them off this year and I hav...

Re: Dart Exhaust
Hi MM,
I can reccommend Gazelle exhausts in Wales, they made a stainless system for my Guzzi although I did take the bike there to have it made. I have also used O&S stainless who made a one-off system for me. Both good quality stainless and a 10 year or lifetime guarantee.
Cheers, Enfie.

Re: weather in Scotland?
Hi Hans,
I live close to Stirling and at the moment is snowing heavily! February is usually wet, windy and cold! However you could be lucky and see a wee bit sun. Nice part of Scotland and plenty of places to visit close by. Are you coming over on your bikes?
Slainthe, Enfie.

Italian Bike / Car Meeting, Hopetoun House Aug 16th.
There is a meeting for Italian bikes and cars Sunday Aug 16th in the grounds of Hopetoun House, South Queensferry. It is being organised through Moto Guzzi Club UK and details can be found on their forum under Scottish branch events. I am taking my Morini 500 along and my girlfriend will be on her G...

Cheers for that Chris, have allready been in touch with Dougie but I'm afraid I'm off to the Pyrenees for 3 weeks when the Borders meeting is on. Still, hope to arrange something when I get back. Your'e right about the Scottish roads Bruno, I must be spoilt living here, apart from the weather that i...

Had a cracking weekend trip on the Morini at the weekend. Managed to pack all the camping gear on the back, found my old Swagman panniers I haven't used for about 10 years and strapped the tent to the back. No real problems with the bike, only a dodgy rear indicator and it looks like I've blown a fo...

Nice 500 and very shiny! Some very pricy bikes on that site too, should have held onto my Ducati, I remember paying £1800 for mine a long time ago. A few adjustments to do to my 500 this week then hopefully a camping trip to the Scottish Highlands this weekend. See how it does against my mates bike...

Moto Morini In Scotland.
Picked up my 500 Maestro last week from NLM. This is the first Morini I have had although I have had experience with Italian bikes, a Ducati Darmah, I still have a guzzi 950 and the girlfriend has a Griso. Eventfull run back up to Scotland with total loss of lights, although I think that problem is ...
