I finaly found out what the top end noise was my camel. Took the front jug off and found a busted piston. Any one know of were I can purchase a new pistons, and jugs. It may be just as easy to purchase a big bore kit if one is available. Any one have any ideas.

1984 Camel 500

Stupid questtion, but how many quarts (liters) of oils does the 500 take. Any recomadations on type and wait.

Thanks for the info. I will try pouring the oil over the valve gear. I also got to thinking about the oil pump possibly not pumping enough volume to get it up to the to end.

I have an 84 camel. As mentioned in previous post, it is now running. However, the bike was sitting for quite some time. I checked the clearences on the valves and they apear to be fine. The bike has what I would consider to be exsesive valve noise. I am figuring that since this is a push rod motor,...

Any other Morini owners in Oklahoma.

Purchased it about a month ago. Been playing around with it, did some cleaning and rebuilding on the carbs. A little tweeking here and their, and was able to take it for a short ride on Saturday. Still need to do a little work on it but should be a good bike.

Got the 84 Camel running this last weakend. Had to rebuild and clean the Carbs. Still need to do a little tweaken on them, and adjust out the valves. Should be a good bike.

I am new to the moto morini motorcycles. Just purchased an 84 Camel. Any thing I need to know about these bikes.
