Fakes
Don't know whether you chaps have noticed a theme running through all this. But the immobiliser light is a fake, like the FL line, like the average fuel consumption figure, like the fuel warning light that comes on when you run out, (and when the instrument panel is replaced comes on after 170miles,...

Update
Hi friends, Sorry for lack of communication for month or two but life has been throwing some of its slings and arrows of outrageous fortune at me recently and some of them struck. And my oh my they do hurt. However all is settling down again in the Gutteridge life and so we have another update. Abou...

Update
Hi everyone. Well I've now got 2500 miles on clock and the bike is starting to loosen up, especiallly the suspension. The front is still slightly too firm but I'm beginning to have more confidence in the tyres now as I can feel whats going on better. Not touched rear shock yet. The engine is just lo...

Update Good Evening, Slightly chilly today but ones spirits were raised by a phone call to young Stuart at NLM who not only brought glad tidings about appearance of heated grips and luggage rack but also warmed ones cockles by intimating the expected appearance over the horizon of not only hand gua...

Mirrors today chaps, Those stylish OE jobbies look very swish and give fantastic views of both elbows. At least half the available mirror is taken up by elbows. And they're a funny shape. I mentioned the problem to Stuart at NLM and he came up with a pair that probably came off a 1943 Bedford Truck....

Thanks Franky, I am enjoying GP but it's early days yet. I too had a lot of problems with my GS1100 but stuck with it as I had taken out another 3 years warranty thank goodness. They wanted £1200 when the ABS went awol. 1150 hasn't been at all bad. ABS went again but it's cheaper to take out relay ...

Hi All Tyre talk. Having gone on and on at length about how good Metzler Tourances are I had a couple of interesting moments on the way down to NLM for first service. The first was on a dampish M6 heading south. I must have crossed a cats eye as the bike went into a sudden wiggle. Settled down quick...

Dear Stephen R, It's not the heated grips and accessories that are waiting - it's me!! Still ...........................after all these years. Was that written by a Morini owner? Dear SteveMRC Glad to hear you enjoy your dirty weekends but please don't boast about the size of your pump dear as it of...

Thanks V-Fun, My GS1150 has stood up pretty well to 7 years of abuse apart from a few stone chips starting to penetrate the engine coating. Somehow don't think the GP is from quite the same mould. Off to NLM on Wednesday for 600 mile check up and fingers crossed around lucky shamrock intertwinned wi...

Hi All Thanks for feedback on ACF 50 and FS365. I bought ACF 50, applied same and took bike out into Yorkshire Dales. This was the occasion I ran out of fuel. When I got back there was no way that I could leave the bike uncleaned. The whole bike and me(!) were covered in mud and dirt. The GP badly n...

Dear All Never ever disbelieve anything that Motor Cycle News or any other vessel of our greatly underated and misrepresented bastion of truth and goodness which is so beratedly and undeservingly heaped into that entity commonly referred to as 'THE PRESS'. Every word printed is the honest and unassa...
