Fork stanchions - Strada v. Sport?
Now I know that Morini used both Paioli and Marzocchi forks for the 350's back in the 70's (and did they use any other suppliers?), but does anyone know if the stanchions are interchangeable? I'm thinking of using the 1975 Strada rolling chassis I have for sale but the Strada stanchions are rusty an...

1977 350 bottom end for sale.
I bought this just to steal the ignition components, so I'm now offering the carcass up to any other robber :) It doesn't have barrels, pistons or heads, and you can see rust on the rods and crank through the barrel apertures. It does turn over though. It came out of a '77 Sport chassis but doesn't ...

1975 (or earlier..) drum brake Strada rolling chassis for sale.
Rolling chassis might be be misleading as there's no tank or sidepanels for a start. What IS there is: single sided twin-leader in front wheel with aged tyre, attached to forks, headlight brackets, yokes with idiot lights and Morini roundel, clocks, handlebars with later LH switchgear and front brak...

Re: 250c carb question
Mark, many thanks for all your info. The problem has been solved! With the help of a magnifying glass and a pair of younger eyeballs we checked the engraving on the needles and it's X51 and not E51. Eurocarb had sent out the wrong needles. I'm just waiting now for the right needles to arrive so I ca...

Re: 250c carb question
Hi Mark, Well I threw the old needles away, so unfortunately I can't check to see how many grooves they had. I bought new ones from Eurocarb and they certainly have four grooves. The bike does have 2 VHBZ22 (HS) carbs. The packaging which came with the needles states : "2343 E type needle (VHB(...

250c carb question
Hi all, I'm resurrecting a 250c that's stood idle for many years. The carb needles were terribly corroded so I bought new ones and (foolishly) slung the old ones in the bin. The new needles have 4 grooves for the clip and I'm sure the old ones had three, with the clip in the middle groove. I know th...

Carb settings.
Hi All, Well I'm not quite ready to try starting the bike for the first time but before I do can someone give me an idea of what a good initial setting would be for the idle and pilot screws? I diligently noted how far out the screws were when I stripped the carbs - but on one carb the screws were n...

Re: 250 2C - various questions from new owner
Thanks, everybody, for all the information. Especially Parker3865 for the great translation of the Instruction Book ( BTW I think 'candles' might be spark plugs). I thought there was a tiny O ring up in the idle jet passageway on both carbs as after I'd cleared the blockages I wasn't seeing a nice d...

250 2C - various questions from new owner
Hi All, I'm the, so far happy, new owner of a 1979 2C. I'm going through the process of reviving it as it has been stored at the back of the P.O.'s garage for about ten years. Unfortunately I can't ask him any questions about the bike as he's passed away - so I hope someone here can rectify my ignor...

Swaps! (125H & 2C)
(If you're on the Morini Mailing List you'll see this ad - so apologies if this is classified as spam) Hi All, I'm after a 2C seat and side panels (early type) and I have surplus a pair of 2C mudguards and a toolbox which is either from a early 2C or a 125H. If you can help me out, or if I can help ...

Excalibur part wanted! (or New York).
A 'wanted' ad for Excalibur bits seems to be a rare thing, but I'm after the silencers. The right-hand one fell off my 507 New York & vanished from the face of the earth so I need a replacement. As it was a cheap & nasty looking aftermarket thing I imagine it'll be easier to track down a pai...
