Re: 350 Sport for Sale PRICE DROP!
Hi Steve, I hope you are well. Do you still have your 350 sport for sale? If so I might be interested. Looking to secure a second bike for my son to ride. He lives in Leicester but with a young family and a large mortgage, I’m sure you remember, he has no spare cash to indulge on motorcycles. The ma...

Re: ATG 398
Hi Tom, Received the latest ATG 398, thanks. I might have missed it but I was unaware of the increased subs for 25/26. I have a standing order in place to cover my annual subs however it is too late to amend this for 25/26 subs, as a consequence the club will be £4.00 short. I am sure I will not be ...

Re: 1975 3½ Strada at H&H Auction.
Always a gamble in the auction, not surprised at the price achieved, buyers at auctions tend to favour bikes in standard trim, this one although probably sound has a mix of parts/ colour schemes that are from different periods. I’m sure many club members will appreciate the modifications to this bik...

Re: 500 Strada battery
My 500 came with a conventional Exide 12v 30ah battery. Whilst this did fit the battery tray, the fit was snug and the battery required maintenance from time to time. After some advice on this forum I went for the Motobatt MB18U 12v 22.5 ah battery. Yes it is a little more money but there is less ma...

Re: side panel knobs
Had a similar experience last week. Not sure if the clamping knobs are the same but my 500 side panel fasteners are a 6 x 20 mm thread, star shaped. I found some on eBay item reference 382851710314. I have two, keeping one as spare, on their way from China. £4.98 each. if you have a parts book it sh...

Re: Close call
Good advice Tom, part of the issue here is that the opposing panel has cracked after being over tightened. Normally this is not possible, but the previous owner had a non standard relay unit fitted to the bike by NLM, which interferes with the panel. I have now modified the panel for a snug fit. My ...

Close call
Nothing life threatening but a close call for of one of my side panels. Lost my clamping knob during my ride yesterday, arrived home to notice the side panel hanging from one of the pegs. Fortunately the good old internet has come to the rescue, two replacement knobs, star shape, on there way from C...

Re: Electric Starter fault
Thanks Mike, John for the response. Mike - I remember from an earlier life that the electric button has its uses, especially two up in traffic. These days I ride without a pillion and mostly around the many country lanes close to Louth. This means i can avoid traffic and the possibility of stalling....

Re: Electric Starter fault
Do I need any specialist tools to remove the electric start.
Not sure whether to leave it on the bench or have the starter repaired.
In recent weeks I have used the kick start without to much effort.
That said the e/start can be useful as back up.
Regards
Paul

Tim, don’t have one but would be a useful addition to the club library, it would appear that all 500 need parts, anyway that is my experience

Re: Electric Starter fault
I thought so, I need to give the starter a general overall, weak legs makes the electric boot essential these days, extra gym sessions doesn’t seem to compensate for the wear and tear that comes with age

Hi Micky, hope you are well.
With regret I must report that there is adequate power reaching the electric motor.
