I'm being told the bike pops out of third gear under reasonably hard acceleration. If riding is less spirited, it's usually fine.

Are aftermarket side panels for the 3 1/2 available anywhere? My Googling isn't turning up much. I'm looking at a bike missing them, but am mostly interested in it as a rider. Subject line says it all. While I'm getting the 500 sorted without much difficulty, and it runs fine - I'm only able to kill the engine with the handlebar switch. Turning off the key does nothing, it continues to run.

Is this normal behavior?
