DOWTY washers ! that's what you call them, thanks steve that was bugging me.

i have taken my tank off for cleaning and on examining the taps i'd like to know what sealing washers are used as they are both just plain washers with loads of ptfe !. i was expecting a proper washer with a rubber centre of some kind

regarding the dvla, i just handed over my v5 and v112 tax/mot exempt form, they didn't ask for proof of age just sent me a new v5 with 'historic' classification on it.

went to go for a quick ride in between the rain showers. sun was out, got my gear on but the strada wont start. it's never let me down before and usually starts first or second kick but not yesterday.
so when i get time, so begins the 'have i got a spark' search etc

guess what. my parts from mdina which the post office lost HAVE TURNED UP ! only about 6 weeks late. too late though as i had chased the package through the post office, re ordered the items, received the items, fitted the items. BRILLIANT

can anyone recommend where we can get our silencers repaired/refurbished ?

so finally got a new v5c issued to me by the dvla as i've not received the 'historic vehicle' one which i applied for back in march. because it's been over 6 weeks i have to pay £25 for something i've not lost ! the dvla said they sent it out on 4th april. there's more.............. also the post of...

ooops. just found the remainder of the v5 IN MY NAME !. so i did have a v5 after all but i definitively haven't received a new one back yet.

when i first got my Strada i registered it as a historic vehicle at the post office but since then and over 6 weeks ago i have not received a v5 back. i have gone online to get a new one which i am going to be charged £25 for a replacement that I haven't lost ! and they are asking for the vin number...

how do i go about getting a dating certificate for my Strada ? i see it costs £20 for non members but what about members ?
