Re: Spark Plug angle

Assuming you have another cylinder head with a good plug thread, why not machine the insulation from a spark plug, bore the spark body to take a suitable straight rod, insert aforemtioned rod through spark plug body and clamp the rod in the chuck on the mill. Then positio...

Re: Spark Plug angle
That's probably what will happen, it would be easier knowing the original angle. I thought I had copies of the technical drawings but I 'misremembered'.

Re: Spark Plug angle
A flurry of responses - thank you comrades. The repair is on a (new to me) Kanguro cylinder head where the timesert wound out with the plug when I was changing plugs. Since a new timesert won't work alone, it needs opening up and an aluminium insert fixed in place before the new timesert. Much more ...

Spark Plug angle
Does anybody know the angle of the spark plug relative to the head in these engines? I need it for a milling machine setup.

Well, as a new member, I have to say how welcoming you all were. A very nice event.

Re: New club member
Just back from a 20 mile evening ride, half of which was on green lanes. The bike seems to be going really well and everything is still working - time for a pint to celebrate!

Re: New club member
FIXED!!
It turned out to be the shambles of wires for the idiot lights - one purple was not connected correctly. Many thanks for your help Julian - I'll buy you a pint (or two) at the AGM.

Re: New club member
That's extremely helpful advice, I've got tomorrow off work and shall go through it all methodically. With a little luck it'll be ready for the AGM weekend. [EDIT later that night] Working from the battery forwards I've discovered that the yellow and the yellow/green wires were on the other's spade ...

Re: New club member
I'm struggling with the 6V electrics on my new bike. If anybody who undertands them would like to stop off for a fed and watered night or two on the way to the AGM [40 miles away] - please shout? I'm certainly happy to help you make sense of the combined 6V/12V wiring on your Kanguro, I might be ab...

Thanks both.
I've managed to find a wiring diagram for the X2 so hope to have it sorted soon.
