Re: 3½ Racers...
Time for an update I suppose... Thanks to all of you who have emailed me with advice. First race was June 5,6. The bike is still together.... Against the CB500/550's Rd400's et al placed 4th. Against the GPZ 550's TZ250's etc placed 6th. Not bad considering I had no mid throttle (too rich on the ato...

Re: 3 172 Tank mounting
I have a 500 tank like that...
Doesn't fit on the 350, but wouldn't be too hard to make it work.

Jetting for L5 Cam
I've got an L5 Cam on the way from 3D in Germany.
Anyone have experience carburetting the L5II in a 3 1/2?
I plan to Dyno the bike but I'd like to show up in the ballpark.
Regards,
Mathew

Re: Race cams and carbs
I only offset my rockers 1mm by making eccentric bushes, with race Mini engines I have used purpose made much bigger offset rockers having needle bearings on the rocker shaft and valve pad in conjunction with high lift race cams to very good effect. Hope that clears things for you? Thanks for expla...

This seems to be the most comprehensive info on the Camshaft choices. As Mr. Compton noted above,Does anyone know how to identify this cam?
there is some discrepancy over the L5.

Thanks for all that Griffo! Crack test the crank. 10,000 revs will surely test it. I've had her up well over 9,000 on the Veglia with no ill affect at all. The motors only got 3600 miles from new and I had it down this past winter. I too have deleted the base gaskets. I'd have to check my notes for ...

I've just read the Morini Performance portfolio, collected articles on road tests, model designs etc... a waste of time really. I'm a little concerned with the 350's lack of engine performance above 80mph. Racing, ideally I'd like to see the ton as quickly as possible, Other than fitting a fairing, ...

If one (or more) of the pushrods had got bent, what kind of effect would this have had on the valve clearance? There would now be more clearance since they're no longer straight, is that right? That's right. If you remove them and role them on a flat surface you should be able to tell if they are b...
