I've probably answered my own question. I just check the rear cylinder and while its a bit difficult to see anything even in the shade today, that does act as exected. Thinking about it, the front one just seems to be stuck on full advance (with occasional flickering) so presumably something has go...

Has anyone fitted a size A belt on a B sprocket as I have fitted a new B belt (continental) and found it as slack or worse than the original that had been on the bike from New (25k kilometers). I was told at NLM you can fit a A on B and a B on a C. But not an A on C. Has anyone been up this road ? ....
