Re: 500 sport marzocchi 35mm fork stanchions

Thanks Jenny but those are a bit spendy compared with re-chroming, new seals, dust boots & clips 👍

That vintage suspension website looks really helpful though, have to see if I can resist buying full nos forks.... going to look at another 500 next week & see what the forks are like on that 🤞

Re: Shop full of Spares. Stock from closed dealer in Barcelona

Hi Ian - did you remember where you might have seen 35mm stanchions available? Thanks

500 sport marzocchi 35mm fork stanchions

After some decent fork stanchions for my 500 sport before I go down the path of having mine re-chromed, alternatively full legs if they have dust boots, brake line clips & don't need new seals. Thanks

Oil drain plug access

Scrambler owner here, but seeing as they are the same what are people using to remove the oil drain plug without removing the exhaust? Is there anything I can but off the shelf?

Otherwise I'm thinking it would need to be a flat bar with part of maybe an old suitably sized plug spanner welded to it...

Re: Oil change shenanigans

Not entirely sure how a crows foot spanner would help, but I'll certainly give it a go 🤞

Re: Black 9 1/2

Speed sensor failed on my scrambler so I bought "NEW GENUINE DUCATI 749 BIPOSTO 2003-2006 SPEEDOMETER SENSOR 55240373A" from ultimate parts worldwide on eBay for just under £70 - apart from the cable being a bit longer it arrived next day & seems to work fine.

Oil change shenanigans

Well an oil filter & change is pretty simple, but to do the job properly to check & clean the oil strainer, the bash plate has to come off, which can't be removed without removing the side stand and then the side stand switch has to come off to reveal the hidden bolt that is still holding th...

Re: Black 9 1/2

Think they are pretty generic bar the cable length & fitting - looks similar to the one on my Guzzi 1200 sport

Re: Black 9 1/2

Seeing as I've just lost the Speedo on my scrambler & checking on here, seems like Speedo sensor failure is quite common 😕 but that said could be an easy fix 🤞

Re: Black 9 1/2

Seems cheap & appears to have just obtained an MOT, I'd buy it for spares just in case but already have too many bikes. Carmo should be able to sort out the non displaying clocks too. Let us know if you go for it.

Re: Grimeca Cast Alloy Wheels

Hi, do you have any straight 500 rears available? Cosmetic condition immaterial as I need to get the front refurbished anyway. There's one on eBay currently, relisted as it didn't sell the first time https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/135662825158 PS: The seller also has a 250/125 rear wheel available http...
