Stripped motor before parts arrive. Everything looked ok. Sprayed GT85 over the brushes and copper armature. Re-assembled and tested on a spare battery and motor spun up fine. Had similar problem. Turned out the brushes in the motor had seized up so not able to move backwards and forwards in the holders. Strip motor down and Clean up with a good degreaser and spray with silicone oil. Its not flammable. If using wd40 let it dry before spinning motor or you could get flames...

Sold a bsa and bought this new Enfield Interceptor in the summer. Great bike. Use the morini for classic meets and the enfield for longer journeys. Swapping left and right gear changes is interesting for the first couple of minutes but I get used to it very quickly now.

Hi the part number is 20.01.50 and 20.01.50u for secondhand parts. Unfortunately MedinaItalia doesnt seem to have any at the moment but please check for yourself.
There was a complete set on ebay a while ago but they were described differently and I only saw them looking for something else.

Posting this for reference for other sufferers. The carbs were causing backfire and it did it during an electric start.
