Yes! Got them on my Sport. Perfectly happy with them.

Re: 1975 3 1/2 Sport

Some hard work gone on there, well done. She looks and sounds good. Seeing you polishing bits makes me guilty as my old Strada could do with some of the same. My 77 Strada had plastic 'chrome' slipover rings around the clocks - one of which I've lost along the road, but the rubber holds them quite ...

Re: Tyres

Not for a 2C but facing the same thing with a 350 I chose Michelin Classic Road. Current models and yes they work well all round, like most modern tyres. If they don't do the sizes you need it could well be worth looking at some of the lesser known (in UK at least) brands-I have used a few of them a...

Re: 1975 3 1/2 Sport

The clocks are jut put in the Rubber holders. Any tips to secure them? They're loose pretty loose especially the left one it spins on tickover. I was thinking some bits of inner tube stretched over the clock to bite the rubber housing? Your idea could work yes. Those rubber cups on yours do look pr...

It all looks good to me Barry, and I'm definitely not bored by it! Great work thank you and I'm looking forward to the additions as they come in.

Re: Longshot, engine/frame number queery 04639

Sorry I can't help with any history of that bike, but if the engine has a number stamped too then it is probably a UK bike from new. Most other countries only required the frame to be numbered. The engine number if factory stamped will be in the same font as the frame too.

Re: Brake cylinder

No, that's not a standard master cylinder. Most were Grimeca and I think a few had Brembo? Either of those would be branded. If the one you have is Japanese it may well have the bore size in mm cast or stamped on it, usually underneath. If your brakes don't feel 'wooden' and they have a little 'give...

Re: alternator stator rivets

Searching through old posts lead me to one explaing that you can measure the voltage between the green wire and earth. The suggestion is that 50v would be good. Oh dear mine puts out 5v. Guess it is definitely the ignition coil in the stator. Just caught up with this post. t does look like your ign...

Re: replica sidecovers

Hi Hombre, sadly I think that business is no more. They did Camel Mk1 side panels and and speedo cowls for me a few years ago and were as good as the originals. I have tried to contact them too and also had no luck. They stopped attending the classic bike events a couple of years back too. There is ...

Re: New Kanguro

They look quite good, I think the quoted weight of each model compared to the Honda CRF is quite similar. The Honda gets derided by enduro and trail riders for being heavy but it still sells by the ship load. Assuming these actually get to market they ought to sell well. A lot of Somerset TRF are o...

Re: Lithium Battery in 3 1/2

So which Li battery did you go for Steve ? I just looked at you profile and see you have an X3. They as you know had a huge battery that was the same size and spec as a Reliant car I'm told? Well you don't need anything so large with decent modern batteries, you can get the same power and more out ...

Re: Lithium Battery in 3 1/2

So which Li battery did you go for Steve ? My Camel has a Shido Li-Po battery coded LTZ8 I think. It's still in there now, and in the time it has been there I've worn out 2 starter motors! The 500 road bike I fitted the same battery too is also still performing-or is it, Roger Lovell? I forgot to a...

Sorry but I missed this altogether Jenny! I'm sorted for a top yoke, got a standard one from Ian Lucas. I still have the rearsets fitted although they will be coming off soon. I am currently trying to fabricate some foot controls to place my feet where the 76 models originally were (approx) Sadly th...

And here I am! Thanks for the offers but I already have one via Ian Lucas, along with some other Strada kit and the job is almost completed now, along with a full service. Just waiting for a cambelt and a new battery.
