Today I performed (!) the winter laying up process, including filling the tank and adding a fuel stabiliser. When I’d filled up at the station, I was just about to close the non-lockable stainless cap when I noticed what must be a seal, that had come away from the cap and was residing ...

...and me, never liked the red frames, only my opinion though. Bike looks nice, with very nice looking silencers-anyone know what make they are?

I’m still having rich running on my ‘80 Strada. Nothing too serious but I feel I should either try what many have suggested and drop the needles and/or check if they’re worn and replace with new E17 needles (gleaned from from Morini Jen’s excellent chart).

I converted to 520 a couple of years ago, just looks right, lighter, more modern set up. I had no problem getting the correct front but couldn’t get the 38 rear, eventually sourcing a 39 from Spain. Bit peppier acceleration but I wonder if the 38 is easier to find now?

As always many different ways of skinning the cat. Only had the bike 5 years but always use Putoline DX4 10/40, they only make bike oil and it’s their more basic semi with around 30% synthetic. As I only do around 1-1500 miles a year I lay up in winter with fresh oil so the nasty contaminates canâ ...

I’ve repaired the bottom bolt hole twice, don’t think I can fix it again! Be interested to know if anyone has one, with the threads intact please let me know
