Re: Strada 1980 Bulb-Indicator Query
Thanks John I’ll order some, I’m convinced it’s a coincidence but my indicators always worked-though flash a bit quick-but soon as I’ve a bulb missing in the idiot cluster they stop working

Re: 1980 Strada
Thanks both, as I thought-Micky I’ve got the original ‘electronic’ taps but traditional analogue ones are in my bike from previous owner(s)

Strada 1980 Bulb-Indicator Query
Can I confirm (or otherwise..) the square idiot light bulbs are T5 286 as the blue/parts book only says pilot?
Also, is it feasible that because I broke one of the bulbs as it smashed falling out of the holder that the indicators should stop working? That’s what seems to have happened..

1980 Strada
Afternoon
Sorry if this is an obvious one, must the fuel taps always be turned off, even if you’re only stopped for a short while?
I always turn them off when I come home and leave the bike in the garage m, is it still the case if I nip somewhere for a coffee? TIA

Request for some service work in South Yorkshire
Good evening! I’ve done about half of the work I wanted to do on my 1980 Strada including Engine and fork oil change, conversion to 520, new tyres and other bits and bobs. The rest was going to be done, as always, by my mate Adam at Dronfield Motorcycles. Sadly he was ram-raided over the weekend and...

Re: K2 (later 350) front sprocket availability
I’m not sure if this is helpful but I’ve recently converted my 1980 Strada to 520 so I have what appears to be a decent 530 chain and sprockets available. It had a clip link that was removed but may be wise to get a new clip link. Anyway, the offers there if 530 is the path chosen…

I appreciate the advise, thank you. Yes I’ve checked everything is there as per the parts book and I now have a washer for re-assembly

Re: Rear Wheel Query
Thanks both, not sure why there was no washer, though it does seem tight to the hub and I haven't heaved on it. I'm going to seek help from my engineer friend, he''ll probably fix me with his steady stare and attend to it in effecient silence..Would any of you know what size washer it should be? It'...

Anyway, I've had new yres fitted and I've also put the 520 chain and sprockets on my 1980 Strada (drum) rear wheel. I've put the sprocket carrier back on and here's where my first query is,...

Re: 1980 Strada Fork Oil info please
Thanks for the replies, I’m trying 15w initially, 13 stone rider. I’m looking forward to doing the job then getting my new tyres on. Got the bike last summer and liked the few rides I had on it, I’m sure it’ll be even better with a new set of Avons instead of the Metzeler rear dated 1984(!!) and the...

Re: Another Question!!
Thank you both, would you suggest washers to minimise that risk or just source shorter bolts (and how would I determine how short?)

Another Question!!
Evening! I’ve got the chain & sprockets for my 520 conversion on my 1980 Strada. I just want to ask I’ve replaced the sprockets like for like, which I understand as being 14/38 and will be having the DID O ring chain cut down from 110 to 96. I just want to confirm this combo is correct as everyw...

Re: 1980 Strada Fork Oil info please
Thanks to you both for such informative and easy to understand replies. The answer to the blue book question is yes, it’s on it’s way! Do I need to refer to this? I’m also grateful you both agree it’s 200 mo per leg, the Dutch site seems to suggest 320ml for all but the earliest models.
