1991 Dart 350

Hello all, The time has come for a Dart Transplant... so my 1991 350 Dart is up for sale, and I'd like it to go to someone in the riders club, who will use it and look after it. Attendees of the riders club trackday will have seen it whizzing around in the Morini group, and often as not with a cup o...

Re: Remanufactured bodywork

<snipola> It’ll be a fairly standard trim strip of some sort but finding it is easier said than done! Yeah, I think if I go looking in an olde-worlde hardware store I'll find something similar, no problem. But like you say, I'm not sure it's actually necessary anyway! All that said, I'm having huge...

Re: Remanufactured bodywork

Quick question - has anyone replaced the rubber seal between the tank cover and seat panels? If so, what with? I've done a bit of digging but can't find anything that matches the original. I'm happy to just pop a strip of flat rubber along the interface to stop chafing, but wondered if anyone has fo...

Re: Trackday 2024

What a brilliant day - even the weather held, allowing me to ride home, and getting in the door just as the first spots started. Good to meet up with new friends, and fantastic to see so many Morinis in one place. Thanks to all the organisers, and marshals on the day. A super day out. The little Dar...

Plastic tank liner

I don't suppose anyone has any experience of this: https://cwylde.co.uk/product/flowliner-armour-coat-petrol-tank-coating-sealer-625gm-kit-for-all-metal-fibreglass-and-plastic-tanks/ As mentioned previously, my Dart tank has developed another small weep, this time from the tap mounting point. And re...

Re: New dart new problems (tank and fairings)

<snip> I have had some success with using loctite 3450 epoxy around the damaged area, covering as much tank surface as possible with a few mm thick of the epoxy. It’s ethanol proof too. You need to roughen the tank surface to get it to bond. Eventually the epoxy patch will peel off and it’ll start ...

Re: Choke lever

Oooh, yes, of course - I'll do a bit of searching for one. What has happened is the sticky-outy-clippy-bit that secures the end of the cable has gone missing:

Choke lever

Hi all - I've been meaning to ask this for ages, but for whatever reason just never got around to it... The choke control on my Dart is broken at the handlebar end. I can still start it OK, so it's never bothered me that much - but I'd like to fix it if I can. Does anyone know if the same handlebar ...

Mine are OKish - and I'm happy to lend them to take patterns from if that helps.

Re: Trackday Cadwell 2022

What a bloody brilliant day out. Thanks to all who organised it. And it was lovely to catch up with people and put faces to names. The teeny Dart performed admirably on track, other than a truly dreadful rear tyre that's going to be replaced as soon as I get my pocket money. It was lovely to see so ...

Re: Shock rebuild

Having given it a good clean-up, there's definitely scoring on the damper rod, so whatever oil I put in there now will only end up stopping the outside from rusting, so I reckon it's time for a replacement rather than a rebuild! Shame, as other than that, it seems to be in good shape. I've done a bi...

Shock rebuild

I know that the subject of shocks for the Dart has been done before, but I'm wondering if anyone has any good information on spares availability for the Marzocchi PBS series shock? I whipped mine out this evening after some rather alarming moments at Cadwell last time out, and it's definitely seen b...

Re: Sticky starter

Please count me in too... although currently my starter isn't misbehaving, I know it's only a matter of time really. And I'd hate for something as small as this to take the bike off the road permanently! So if there's any chance to get a batch made up, I'll happily have one or two. (Been a long time...

I reckon I could be up for that (assuming we can all get fuel by then) :)
