Starter Sprocket Spindle Nut
Hi all, please can anyone shine a light on how to tighten the nut on the centrifugal starter spindle? This is with the shoe assembly in place within the engine side cover. As you'll realise, the spindle simply turns with the nut. You can't get a spanner in, and using a socket prevents access to the ...

Re: Replicating Tarozzi Lever in Alloy
Thanks Simon, good suggestions. Supply of the Tarozzi items in this country seems to be a little sporadic too.

Replicating Tarozzi Lever in Alloy
Hi all, just wondering whether any enterprising soul has considered replicating the Tarozzi rearset lever in milled alloy?
The standard item is soft as butter as you'll know, and is damaged very easily. I reckon that a nicely machined alloy replica would be a great idea!

Re: Leaking Clutch Oil Seal
My local machine shop simply tack-welded a couple of old clutch plates together on the outer periphery, then welded a handle on. Took him all of 30 minutes!

Re: Leaking Clutch Oil Seal
Hi Terry, yes indeed it can be frustrating, but I've managed to resolve this. Primarily, you need to remove the whole clutch casing, and replace the main seal 'on the bench' rather than in situ. Paul Compton has an excellent series of videos on this on YouTube, well worth following (to the letter!) ...

Re: Leaking Clutch Oil Seal
Thanks guys for your valuable insight. It perhaps doesn't help that I have a PVC tiled garage floor in pale grey, that I keep very clean...every last speck of oil shows up - ah well!

Re: Leaking Clutch Oil Seal
Sorry about the late reply and update to this. I decided to remove the clutch casing and primary drive, and replaced all seals including the main seal. I took great care to fit the new main clutch seal (a quality, double lipped Viton type) before refitting the casing assembly with primary drive alre...

Re: Swinging arm grease points
I understand that there used to be a modified bolt available which included a grease nipple, specially for when you are using Tarozzi rearsets. This is because the rearset bolt screws into the grease nipple hole. Does anyone know whether you can still obtain this modified bolt?

Re: Connecting Carbtune Manometer to Inlet Manifold
Thanks to everyone for your replies. I think I'll buy a 5mm leather punch and drive a hole through the rubber manifold. As shown in your pics above, Morini conveniently provides a 'boss' for this moulded into the rubber. I can use this to temporarily insert the brass fitting for the Carbtune. Afterw...

Re: Connecting Carbtune Manometer to Inlet Manifold
Thanks for your reply. That approach did cross my mind, but as you say, it's something of a fudge. It may be that it's the only option!

Connecting Carbtune Manometer to Inlet Manifold
Hi all, please can anyone advise how a Manometer (such as a 'Carbtune') can conveniently be attached into the rubber inlet manifold? I've noticed that the Startgomma items that I am using do not have any pre-punched/ sealable access points for this connection. I'm reluctant to punch a hole in the ru...

Kickstart Shaft O Ring
Please does anyone know the dimension of the kickstart shaft O ring, that fits into the clutch casing? The parts list does not specify it. Also, I'd be grateful for any installation tips for this O ring (during the clutch casing replacement) to prevent future oil dribbles from the kickstart shaft. S...

Re: Leaking Clutch Oil Seal
Hi Terry, sorry for the late reply. No, I haven't yet solved the leak, but I'm planning to remove the clutch casing again soon. I'll be using double lipped seals from Simply Bearings, which are excellent quality. Hopefully this will be the last time!
