rocker rattle?

Hi All, I hope all goes well. I am writing to ask if you can advise on a rattle I get at certain revs (steady mid. revs) doing 50mph roughly on flat... I can't tell what it is but suspect rockers maybe? Or rods to cam? I'm really not sure...bike running well and valve clearances are correct I believ...

Re: heat shield for 350 Sport

Hi All I ordered and received within a week my new Heat Shield for Morini 350 Sport from Mark at Edge Composites <https://www.edgecompositesuk.com>. £54.50p inc post. Fits well using two of the existing holes in the shield and stays cool as does my left leg! Many thanks Martha and MRC for organising...

heat shield for 350 Sport

Hi All I am pleased to say I have put new chrome exhaust pipes on my A/3 350 Sport. They come from Mdina without a heat shield so I am looking for one. There was a post 23rd oct 2023 by 'morini_tom' saying the "The club has recently helped facilitate the reproduction of these in composite. Avai...

Re: Exhaust Heat Shield

The club has recently helped facilitate the reproduction of these in composite. Available to buy now in the UK. Full details in the next ATG which is at the printers now Hi - Can you let me know if the club did make any heat shields for 350 sports? ...I can't find it in the club magazine. Thanks Matt

Re: Replacement carburettors

Thank you for this information- I see that it is not straightforward. It may be better for me to just try to get my Dellorto's to be in their best condition- I have replaced some parts already but slides, needles and atomisers not done. Can I ask one more Q which follows 70sbikes comment on needle t...

Re: Replacement carburettors

Thanks for your replies huub and 70sbikes. Great that Mikuni 34 works- copies cost about £40-50 a pair so not bad price but are they OK to use or must be original as they are a lot more... I am interested in what else is possible- this ZSDTRP Maikuni PWK 28 30mm Motorfiets Carburateurs look good but...

Replacement carburettors

Hi All- this is probably silly Q which I am not asking out of desperation as bike riding reasonably well...just wondering....may be a bad idea for reasons I don't know... ...but does anyone know if these carbs at links below could replace carburettors VHBZ 25 HS? If yes what mm size would I need? Th...

Re: Silencers and rubber manifold issues

Hi Matt, Tightening the carb rubbers: Personally I nip mine up just enough to prevent the rubber moving on the stub. I assume that you have the plastic sleeves between the rubber and worm drive clip? Part number 32.01.32? (Item 26 on the parts fiche.) If not, depending upon type of worm drive clip ...

Re: Silencers and rubber manifold issues

Hi Matt. I have a pair of chrome Sito silencers that I would be willing to part with. (See photos). Some very light pitting on the surface and some light rust inside but not enough to worry about. As George 350 said, you can end up chasing your tail with 'universal' silencers and once you've sorted...

Re: Silencers and rubber manifold issues

Armours do downpipes in stainless, Keihan or Armours will do you a set of silencers. Probably cost the same as a Mdina set. However, I have three sets of downpipes going spare. Not the best, but serviceable. Problem is distance. I will be in Orxfud area on Friday and same again and Buckinghamshire ...

Re: Silencers and rubber manifold issues

I had a very similar problem which I eventually managed to correct; it may have a bearing on your issue with carb rubbers... There may be two different profiles of plastic support ring in circulation. My originals were a poor match to the profile of the carb rubber and didn't fully fill the 'trough...

Yes I have Start Gomma from Mdina- they seem good- it's me that's bad for over tightening!

Re: Silencers and rubber manifold issues

I know that problems with the manifolds, breaking from inside to outside very well, but only with the 501 ones. Never had this problems with 350. Since I´ve mounted a bracket between one of the carb-cover-screws and where the original airbox should be fixed, my manifolds last a lot longer than befo...
