Re: Forum Downtime

"You've all done very well!" Tm. Mr. Grace

It was a rum one and no mistake. It needed your fresh pair of eyes to track down that .htaccess glitch. Another black mark against Fasthosts in my opinion.

The side effect is that there is now a 'clone' (not saying exactly where) that may prove useful for ...

Ah - not available.

But have you checked that the green cable connection isn't shorting out somewhere, as that would give the same symptoms?

Re: Air filters,plug caps.

I think if you are running NLM ignition module and 'scooter coils' resistor plugs (like NGK Iridium) and good (NGK) resistor caps are OK. Been a long time since I was reliant on the OEM system. I always used EV plugs back then with good results but alas no longer available.

Re: K2 for restoration

I remember the K2 Classic I had for a while.

Sorely tempted as a source of an engine, while Benji re-rebuilds my spare 350 lump.

Hmm, "Turns over". Plus I didn't really gel with the cam in my K2. Perhaps it was just mine, but it was a bit too linear for me. Made a good touring machine though.

A ...

Concerning about having an idee of the power here is a small video on a French track and it is between a honda 500 and my 350 . The action is more or less at 8"50 min . I hope you enjoy it .

Re: MARCHES SECTION

My belated apologies for absence. Had to pick up my first prescription of distance spectacles (titanium frame for crash helmet use) and then take advantage of the dry interlude to fix some things in the garden. Hope to get to the next one.

Re: Admin

Curious. Perhaps a change Tom made after he sent the PM , so that one didn't trigger a notification. No worries. You seem set up now to receive the notifications you most want to get.

Jenny, have you tried 'subscribing' to a particular topic?

I don't really know what that means, Pete. To be honest I'm not particularly bothered about receiving notifications although it would be handy to be notified if someone sends me a PM. I look in on the Forum most days but I don't always ...

Jenny, have you tried 'subscribing' to a particular topic?

phpBB forum setups have their little quirks and the one I have most to do with has problems getting mail delivered to BT addresses for some reason. We have tried tweaking the DMARC settings for that domain but still issues for some users ...

Re: I'm rich, but not in a good way

Ignition fault on one cylinder is most likely the transducer but it could be the 'pickup'.
A duff spark might well mean poor combustion on the affected cylinder and so unburnt fuel.

Re: MARCHES SECTION

I will try to get to one of the meetings this year. A bit further than I usually ride these days and the 2C/375 is a bit vibratory of late so I might be on a modern machine of a different marque, unless Morini get their act together and send some new 350s to the UK before next winter ;)

Re: The new MRC website.

When users experience this sort of problem on the VMCC forum (not main website to be fair) an administrator has been known to take the liberty of seeing if they can log in using the seemingly invalid credentials. DAMHIKIJDOK. Far more permutations though I think and also no ability for users to ...

Re: I'm rich, but not in a good way

Had a similar thing happen on my Ducati Pantah, tried all the things you tried & eventually fitted new emulsion tubes & needles in the carbs. Problem solved.

I once had a similar issue with a Gilera 98. On eventual close examination the needle jet was very worn to the extent that the orifice ...
