Hi Paul, Alas the bush will definately need reaming. Even further off topic I'm afraid... Yes Wofgang Hearter at Columbian car and cycle is great to deal with and has the part. The Tornado light is the same as a V7 sport. He shows the rim here is it the correct one? http://www.laverda.ca/Allitalia/a...

Hi Paul, Yes it's all in bits. The sleeve fits the gearbox shaft snuggly. The gearbox shaft is rock solid but there is about .75 to 1mm wobble at the edge of the big primary gear when assembled. The surface of the steel sleeve looks unworn and has no steps. The surface of the bush is marked but not ...

Wobbly primary drive

Hi, My primary drive is rather wobbly and I want to replace the bush in the big primary gear. Has anyone ever done this before? What sort of clearance should I ask the fitter to set after pressing the new bush in? The bearing is about an inch diameter, looks like copper alloy on a steel substrate an...

Nasty tinking noise on warm engine

Dear all, I bought a rather nice '79 strada recently, it's a very clean low mileage import. I drove it home and it pulled very well, better than my old K2 as I recall but the clutch was dragging at idle and there was no play at the lever. If you adjusted some play into the lever the clutch would not...

Hi, I was eyeing up a set of pantah forks on ebay the other week with an eye to disposing of the terrible front brake (sacriledge! I hear them say) and going for twin Brembos. The chap selling them said quite firmly that the Pantah forks were Paoli and not Marzos, I think they have fittings for Brem...

3.5 original pattern carb rubbers

Hi All, Probably old news but I just received two sets of carb rubbers from a chap in Italy. They look correct, strong yet pliable. At £12.50 each I thought they weren't too bad given the tubes I had bought before when told the original was unobtainable were too soft and the wrong shape so left the...

Anyone got a 2C or Coguro going spare?

Hello, I'm after a 250 2C or similar for my partner to get back into biking and a Coguro for myself as they're pretty. Any other suggestions for a back to biking stead would be great - it's got to have a lowish seat height and be light while capable of 65mph cruising. I'm wondering about things like...
